We went here for a late night dinner, it seemed pretty quiet for a Friday. I got the 1/4 chicken with 2 sides and a mocktail. The server was extraordinarily helpful and friendly, which I appreciated. The non-alcoholic beverage options caught me off-guard; they have a lot to offer and their mocktail menu is really quite good! The food was okay, unfortunately not much to write about, but worked in a pinch. I'd recommend going for drinks and dessert.
This may be my new favorite place!!! Our waitress Meghan was so sweet, attentive, and made jokes with us as well. They put the wrong cheese on my burger (i would have been fine with it) but she noticed beforehand and insisted on getting it fixed!! This is only my second time here and I continue to be impressed with the quality of the food. The drink menu also has a variety of signature drinks and shots which is also impressive, I want to try them all!!! Thanks for your great service Meghan :)
We went here for lunch on 02/01 after a family funeral with a larger party. Our waitress was Ashley, who was very personable and friendly. It was a nice time to enjoy our company with the situation of the day. Everything came out at the same time for everyone and was hot. Ashely paid very good attention to our table to ensure everyone's drinks were always refilled before they were emptied. She proactive and was able to joke around when it was clear she had a large section of tables. I enjoyed the food so much I have reached out to consider them as catering for an upcoming wedding.
Julie greeted us with a smile and and a great presence. She promptly took our order and quickly returned when our other party arrived to take his order. The food was excellent, flavorful, and just plain delicious! Julie is knowledgeable of the menu items and she always stopped by to check on us. She even checked to see if we wanted dessert. Julie is truly a delight. She shared her knowledge of spicy peppers with us and the different recipes she makes with them. Plus she is a true REDSKIN (not Commanders fan)
Overall if you are looking for good BBQ and a great waitress go to Smokey Bones in York PA!
We had a table of 9 at lunch. Ashley was our server she was phenomenal, serving 7 tables at 1 times exceptionally! Everyone enjoyed their food except some sides were cold throughout(mashed poatoes).
Annastacia the bartender puts this place over the top. The food is great but her bar service is where it’s at. And she will make you this killer drink in the photo
We have never eaten a dinner on a Saturday night and then returned the next morning for a brunch at the same restaurant until this past weekend. This was a first because of one person - JULIE. She was engaging from the minute we were seated and made our experience a smiling one from start to finish. For our brunch I had seen Mimosas advertised on the web, but they did not appear on our table menu. Julie went right to the bartender and confirmed that it was an oversight. Don't overlook Julie for management or you will miss a great opportunity.
We were seated quickly, and the waitress came over as we were getting into the booth. I asked for a couple minutes to view the drink menu. We ordered drinks and the regular sweet tea came quickly while I waited a bit for my alcoholic beverage. The waitress came back to tske our orders. We had the cornbread appetizer which was delicious, I had the 1/2 BBQ chicken, sweet potato fries and mac and cheese and was very satisfied with my meal. It was very good. My husband ordered the Texas Brisket Platter, BBQ baked beans, and natural cut french fries. He said the brisket was very dry and had an uneven blend of seasoning, he liked the baked beans and said the fries were ok. No one ever came over to check in with us or ask if we needed anytime the whole dinner. I asked the waitress for a take out box and she said she would get me one and bring the bill. I responded that we would like to have dessert and while I was still eating my dinner, she asked which dessert we wanted. I responded that I didn't know yet. Then we didn't see her again for a while. I was able to grab her attention for the dessert order. The dessert was taking a while and we needed to get on the road so we asked for the dessert to go. I had ordered the donuts in a bag which came with raspberry and chocolates dips. The donuts looked like an abomination and were either slightly burnt or fried in old grease. The raspberry dip was delicious.
Excellent service, atmosphere, and food! I agree with others' comments that this is a 'secret' of sorts in York. We really enjoyed our dinner, especially the lobster bisque special. Their drinks are great as well as the desserts, too. Entree was cook
I love this place! The meal was delicious and worth the price. The rolls were delicious as well, very flaky and buttery, absolutely perfect. Our waitress was very nice and calm. And we shopped around in the store lots of cool things to see!
Amazing indoor exhibit with many different species on display! So much to see inside before venturing out into the surrounding forest. Great hiking trails with varying levels of difficulty. I'm sure it would be even more beautiful when everything is
