Visiting the SB is my second time trying this restaurant. The company behind it needs to do a total assessment. I visited a location in my home state, Massachusetts, at Technology Boulevard in Stoughton, MA, after waiting for a waitstaff to say at least, "Can I help you?" Or give me a few minutes." I left the premises after 15 minutes waiting to be acknowledged. Now, I visited the Clearwater location hoping for a better service, but I was apprehensive. We did not have a long wait to be seated, 24 minutes, I was hopeful. After we sat down, it took 35 minutes for the waitress to ask if we needed drinks. We got the drinks. One drink 🍸 some kind of lemon martini, the glass came half empty. Did the waitress spill it, or else? My son drinks pure sugar. He said that he felt he was drinking a dessert. The food, don't ask me about the food. For the baby, we asked for a grilled cheese and applesauce—the grilled cheese's bread had an unusual flavor, such as stale or else. We asked for a smaller spoon for the baby since the spoon we got was a soup spoon. It was big. So, for those folks with children, they seem to not cater to the small population. My son asked for a sandwich using the same bread, and he also tasted the same "unusual" flavor. My Korean BBQ, oh well, I don't get it. I asked for potato wedges, and it was so salty that I ended up drinking my iced tea and another glass of water. It was my first time eating there, my second inside that restaurant, AND my last time. Don't waste time, which is very valuable, and your money.
Nachos were plentiful. Had the bonegrill for 2 and there were lots of meats, although the fries were a little too crisp. Service was excellent. Fido is welcome on the patio, they even brought out a bowl of water for him.
Service was fine but, I've never paid so much for that much fat in a brisket, got the ribs after and they were fine. The fries had a microwaved texture, just about nothing but the corn bread was as good as other Smokey Bones locations, so it was very frustrating, when tied to over $100 tab for 3 people and only 1 drink.
Great Smokey Bones restaurant location! The server we had was professional, friendly and timely. She was an expert at what she was doing and brought the food out in a timely manner. One thing is she gave me fries instead of potato wedges - no problem as my friend and I switched and shared because he wanted the fries. Ordered a burger. The four of us got something different.
This was one of my favorite restaurants in the area, but with each visit lately It proves that it's not worth coming here. The only positive thing was tasty appetizers. Main dishes were disappointing, especially rubbery shrimps (7 or 8 overcooked grilled shrimps for a price around $23 without taxes and tips), and 2 sides I've picked were overcooked again broccoli and loose pieces of corn that wasn't anything special at all (and I love corn!).
Large portions with good taste. Upgrade from regular late night bar food. Plenty of tv's. Nice selection of alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages. Variety of choices on menu.
Staying in town a few days and saw this place and decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. Got a 1/3 rack of baby back ribs and enjoyed every bite. We also got a pulled pork plate that was really good. Definitely recommend.
Made a reservation for 5 people at 5:45 on 12/27. Hostess took forever to find our booking. When seated our server took a long time to bring drinks, we asked for sticky table to be wiped he ‘huffed’ and came back 5 minutes later with a rag. The food arrived quickly and was good. However server never checked back, several of us wanted water. Our plates were cleared and I said one bill. After 10 minutes I went to bar to see if I could pay as we needed to get going. They would not take my card. When server finally came around he said ‘I have a lot of tables’ Also I had indicated in my reservation we were celebrating a birthday. At no point did server bring this up or offer dessert. We were so frustrated we left after paying and went to another restaurant for dessert. Bottom line very disappointing service. We were there 2 hours and 15 minutes for a simple meal.
