Delicious barbecue food! Pulled pork and ribs were so mouthwatering and just cooked perfectly. Very tasty sides as well. Quite a good selection of beers. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. The only complaint is that it was very cold on the inside. Would come back for the food for sure!
First timer here and the great experience made us want to come back for more! 🤩 Tried the avocado bread appetizer which was delicious. Had the smoked ribs and pulled pork as the main course. The BBQ was on point and tasty. Had pulled chicken on the side. It was what good but the it is a bit pricy for the small portion. The service was also great. We wanted to love it. The reviews were great and we were hungry so this was the spot we selected. We started with the soup, which was lovely. For dinner, I got the roasted carrots and farro because farro is one of my favorite meals. It was so oily and the flavor was not at all what I expected. I tried to just eat the carrots but gave up. The rosemary potatoes were my other order and they were tasty. My boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich and ate half of it before deciding it wasn’t worth finishing. He felt like there was too much going on with the sandwich and the flavors weren’t complimentary. We decided to give dessert a try, but even that went unfinished. The chocolate cake tasted much like a chocolate muffin perhaps soaked in some kind of liqueur in a few places? Or maybe just a sauce drizzle? Our server was good and the food came out fast. We do generally try to eat on the healthier side, so maybe the really rich and heavier things on the menu would have been good?
Pretty decent bbq spot. Side Caesar salad was huge. Risotto was long grain rice with great flavor combinations. Well composed and plated but not risotto. Bbq’d food looked and tasted great. Sauce choices of tangy or sweet.
Literally changed my life. For all 52 years of my life I have absolutely hated pork chops. My mom overcooked them and served them three or more days a week. I HATE them. The owner was our waiter and he recommended the pork chop special. He seemed passionate about them. VERY reluctantly I ordered them. Life changing. I never knew a pork chop could taste good. A couple days before I had dropped $125 on a tomahawk steak at a place on Mackinac Island. It was half as good as Smoke and Porter’s $34 pork chop. It was amazing.
Went by myself after a Costco run and had wonderful food and service. Best Caesar salad I’ve ever had, all the flavors really went well together. Had the brisket with brussell sprouts for dinner and it was also wonderful. Cannot wait to be back! Thank you for the friendly conversation at the bar, and great service.
Absolutely phenomenal. Came here on a whim while travelling and was astounded by the food quality, atmosphere, and service! The pulled pork sandwich blew me away. I highly recommend making a stop here if you are interested in quality BBQ and great service.
We used Smoke and Porter Public House to cater a dinner theatre production and the food, presentation, and service was out of this world amazing! The entire audience loved the dinner and we received so many compliments. The bread and smoked butter was amazing and the chopped salad was fresh and delicious. The food was so good that my family and I went to Traverse City to eat their food again, the walleye special was incredible and the mushroom risotto was a hit. Paul was our server and he was helpful, intuitive and super quick. Great spot for dinner! We will be back for sure for some pulled pork and truffle fries! Definitely stop here if you are in the area.
