Smithy’s new location is an old fuel station that has been converted and the rustic conversion really works for the atmosphere. The food was good and some of the plates had excellent portions for price. *SOME* but some are a little high, but overall quality of all is above average for sure. Wait staff is decent over all would absolutely visit again!!

We came to Smitty's based on a local recommendation and have enjoyed our meals in this unassuming location (pretty cool decommissioned gas station) on both visits. We recommend Chicken and Waffles for breakfast and the Firecracker Burger for lunch. Service was attentive both times, although it was unclear on our first visit that we should collect our own menus and napkin cutlery rolls before seating ourselves. By our second visit, we were old hats. During our first visit, internet service was down, so they could only accept cash, and it took some time for our server to get to our table. Prices were higher than expected, especially for breakfast items, but I suppose this is par for the course for our times. Thankful for the service and delicious meal offerings!

Smitty’s is a down home, no frills spot for breakfast. The service was very nice and the atmosphere too, but the food was a little colder than we’d like it to be. I would give it another shot next time I’m in the area. Maybe just an off day!

This came up in a search for coffee shops but it is definitely a cafe/restaurant - not a grab and go type coffee shop. The breakfast was a bit pricey - and they were out of major items today (like biscuits for the biscuits and gravy ordered - served toast instead). I give it 4 stars because the service was good. Desserts looked yummy and it’s a cute atmosphere. Maybe better in the evening - looks like the serve a good variety of beer.

Edit....6/26/22 Came in on Sunday and it was breakfast only due to limited staff..I thought to myself I can work with that because I can still get my chicken fried steak for breakfast. Waited around ten minutes after sitting down before my waitress came to the table. She took my drink order and when she came back with my drink took my food order. Food came out fast but the biscuit was burnt and cold and half way through my chicken fried steak I found a inch and a half black hair under my cfs... at that point I lost my appetite. My waitress never came back to the table and almost 10 minutes after finding the hair had someone else come take my payment. I showed the girl that came to take my payment the hair that was in my food and she only offered 15% off. Guess my waitress was to busy on her phone at the back of the bar.. this place has really fallen off since the last time I was here. Can't say that I would come back again witch is a real shame.. Orginal review This place is absolutely amazing. The fried pickles and fried Mac and cheese are awesome. The firecracker CFS was to die for. Will stop here to eat every chance I get.

Smitty's has moved. A little hard to find but well worth it. It's a converted gas station so keep a sharp eye out on the hill. Our favorite breakfast stop in Brenham, a little off the beaten path but worth it. A little wait because everything is cooked to order.

Ala-ching-aw. Is that a burger? Fried mac-n-cheese burger. It was really good. 👍

Recommended by some locals to go here. We had chicken & waffles and chicken & biscuits. Very delicious. Friendly staff. Worth a stop.

Great spot! We now always come here before we go to pool parties and pick up some daiquiris. Glad they opened up just in time for summer!

None of the beers we tasted disappointed! Good body, flavors, cool names, looked amazing in the glass and tasted great. That says a lot! The interior and exterior spaces to enjoy your visit are inviting; even a play ground for the kiddos. Your dog ca
