Beautiful and very safe to do some walking, jogging or even biking. Please note the entire trail is about 2 miles and right now in the winter the restrooms are closed and all they have is portable toilets without hand sanitizer.
Love this lake! Beautiful mountain and city views! Heavy foot traffic during prime walking hours the last two hours just before sunset. Bikes, rollerblades, walkers, etc. all are on this route. Please be cautious and take care of one another. This is after all about being outdoors and enjoying. Great place for sunset, picnic!
Great place walk around and enjoy the outdoors. The path is pretty flat but does meander around a bit and the views of the lake and mountains are nice. Several different places to park around the loop and paths connect to nearby shopping areas with restaurants. Not a lot of tree cover in the area. Several playgrounds and restrooms around the park as well.
Sloan’s Lake is a fantastic place to go and/or visit! Beautiful area near a lot of retailers across from it. It’s a very active area where you’ll constantly see people jogging, walking, or running throughout all hours of the day. It’s also a nice spot to walk your dogs or just enjoy the nature and views with friends or even by yourself! Absolutely worth checking out if you haven’t or if you’re only visiting!
Great park! An easy path with beautiful views of downtown and the mountains. Took about 40-45 minutes to walk the full loop at a casual speed and stopping to take pictures. There were plenty of people around but didn’t feel crowded on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.
Took a walk today around part of this beautiful lake that is right by my work. It was led by the Sloans Lake Park Foundation, who put together a history of the man made (however accidently) it was created to the steamboat dinner cruises to Denver. Even about the amusement parks that used to exist on the shore lines. The lake has some serious issues and they ate working to get it health so maybe someday they can stock dish and have swimming again!! #savesloanslake
Very pretty park with a beautiful, redone playground. We were by the playground and the bathrooms were locked. There were 2 pota potties in badly need of service today. The rest of our visit was amazing.
It’s okay for a park. The boating area is nice (with the moored dragon boats). This park is best for joggers, long-distance walkers, and cyclists. Other than that it’s not too interesting. It’s basically a marked cement path around a barren lake with few trees and mostly in the sun. My dog lost interest as well. There’s also blue-green algae currently infesting the water which makes it lethal for animals should they happen to drink from the water or bathe in it and lick themselves afterwards. It’s a long way around as well…be prepared for that.

Such a beautiful and haunting spot at sunset. The 150-mile panoramic view from the pavilion is breathtaking. The Denver Botanical Gardens is directly behind it. A bit of history: 1909, Gladys Cheesman-Evans, and her mother, Mrs. Walter S. Cheesma
10/10 Lovely place, calm, easy to relax It's a nice park, lots of space and enjoyable, not to mention not many people come here, I'm probably going to visit more often to unwind during my busy day at the campus,
This is one of my favorite spots in Denver. City Park is great and this little spot with abundant species of waterfowl and beautiful vegetation is fantastic. The first time I stumbled upon it (after having lived in Denver for 8 months) I thought I ha
Like many of the parks in Denver, Cook is going through minor renovations. The walking paths are receiving new concrete and will be fenced off in certain sections. Unfortunately, the kids' play area has been completely ripped out for the time being.
The true beauty of this public wide open 24/7 place directly adjacent to Interstate 25 smack dab in the middle of Denver is the shear personal responsibility act of entering since any attempt by community standards to blame others for your sippy stra
Great park to spend the day. Lots of activities from a skatepark to several baseball fields and lots of tracks to walk around . They even have at a theater where they have large concerts and most are free . Would highly recommend coming to check it o
One of the prettiest parks downtown. Conveniently located next to Union Station, there are public restrooms here and lots of space for dogs. There is a bike path that runs along the river and they frequently host events here. This is a beautiful well
