Very cute restaurant with a great location. They have ample outdoor seating to watch the boats along the River and a large dock. The food was not as good as I had hoped but I will definitely try it again sometime to see if it’s changed. They also have a lot of old menu items on previous reviews so make sure to check their website for the current menu as many things are no longer available. The spaghetti was decent but the shrimp tacos were poorly seasoned and had a lot of cheese that didn’t blend well with the cabbage and crema.
The restaurant was great. Service was asking great. If you are a fan of Grumpy Old Men and are in the area, I would take the trip. Now the down side which is no fault of the restaurant or town. The actual bar used as Slippery’s tavern in the movie was in St. Paul MN and there was also a stand in town used for Wabasha as well. So unfortunately you don’t really get to see land marks from the movie. However it it a very nice town to check out for a quick stop over.
Live music was great today and a hot but perfect day by the water for it. Food was just ok but not great. Our waitress was busy and on top of things. Glad we went there today.
We rented a houseboat and spent a few days on the Mississippi River. We stopped at Slippery's to check it out and get a tasty beverage. Not only was the bartender nice, so were the other customers. We had some fun conversations. The bartender even took a group photo of us. We didn't eat there, but the food I saw others eating looked delicious. I'd definitely recommend going there and I'd visit again next time I'm in the area.
Excellent walleye sandwich! Gorgeous view, rivght on the river. Free on-site parking. The only drawback was the patio was closed to dining for the season (still open for drinks tho.
This is a really cool place! Staff member who served me was pleasant and informative of the area. The food was absolutely amazing! I ordered the salmon and enjoyed the atmosphere by the water. This is certainly a go to place for food and drinks. I would definitely come back!
A delightful, old-fashioned Upper Midwest bar and grill with the perfect location on the Mississippi. The food was great and prices were reasonable. Definitely a great option for lunch or dinner if you're in the Wabasha area.
Nice place and the home of “Grumpy Old Men”. Found out that they just reopened after being flooded the spring. They taped the water mark on a couple of posts. The restaurant is right on the river edge. The server was great and I enjoyed the Chicken Philly with a very nice creamy coleslaw. There is a small patio there for watching the river boat traffic. We were able to watch a barge go by up stream.

We've been a big fan of Hoppy Girl Brewery but recently had the opportunity to stay at Turning Waters. Such a diamond in the ruff! Turning Waters offers an unique stay experience that is what the the original B&B was made of. A warm welcoming home l

Great place to stop in the shores of the Mississippi in historic City of Wabasha. There's a beach, little walking path and nice, more natural playground with rocks that is great for climbing and jumping.
