Slim Chickens - Chicken restaurant in Fort Smith - 7501 Phoenix Ave, USA

Slim Chickens is fine if you want some simple, tasty, and no-nonsense chicken. It's convenient to where we grocery shop at, so we hit it sometimes. I like their Mac and Cheese and smokey chicken wrap well enough. My wife likes the straps with the Slim's sauce.

Food was awesome. I had the Buffalo Mac bowl with plain chicken and it was so good. The poor pregnant cashier was overwhelmed taking orders by herself with a huge line and having to run food also, seems like they should have another staff member around, but its probably a call off or something like that so I was friendly and patient.

Server accidentally messed up my order and gave my wife the spicy wrap. She's horrible with spicy. Was the most entertaining date we've had in a while. Good food. 10/10 date.

I had ordered a 4pc chicken strip meal, the bbq wrap meal and two chicken tender kids meals. At the window when the guy handed us the drinks I said we're supposed to have 2 kids drinks as he only handed me one. So he gives me the other drink but then still didn't give me the other kids meal and it was my fault for not checking. I should have known better. Other than that experience their food is wonderful. That service was awful though and you pay too much money for them to mess up the order. It was late and they would have been closed by the time of me driving back.

Love the food, hate the service. The lady who takes the orders never speaks loud enough so you can’t hear her at all. It takes forever to get our food & our order is NEVER right & something is ALWAYS forgotten. So frustrating paying for something & not getting it especially with how long it takes. I would check your bag every single time before you pull away from the window. DO YOUR JOB BETTER! It is not hard to double & triple check a bag to make sure everything is in there. I will add, we have ate at other ones not in Fort Smith & everything was right & nothing was forgotten. Seems to be a Fort Smith location problem. So disappointing.

Myself and my roommate staying at a near by hotel tried this place out. Smelled good during the day and busy. One late night, we go to through drive thru and order crispy chicken sandwich meals. First when we pulled in I saw a bunch of teenagers that looked like they work there having a tiny party in the parking lot with friends smoking blunts. I know cause my window was down. The speaker on the menu board either needs to be replaced or the person needs to speak up. I was told that they are out of chicken patties and asked us if it was ok to use chicken tenders. I agreed. Pulled up to the window and waited for 20-25 mins before the guy came up with our bag and took our payment. The entire time while waiting, I saw other employees just horsing around, laughing, just cruising the kitchen like their own. Btw no hair nets...hats or type of uniform. You know when you were younger and had a job with customer exposure; the boss said "always look busy, don't stand around". Well I know now why we were told that. People like us. It does matter; interaction face value, confidence with the company and the people in charge of cooking your food, and customer service. We paid, got our order and left back to the hotel. We notice the tenders used were small and slapped on the buns that were small, barely any sauce mayo or Chayanne sauce on the other, the fries were cold. I tried some before we drove off. The burgers were small compared to what was illustrated on the menu. They broke apart easily and the tenders did not work. I did agree them to use the tenders however we still paid full price for the meals. Wasn't offered a discount or a gift card with credit on the next meal, nothing. And I hate styrofoam cups or styrofoam anything. The potato salad was the best I have ever had at a restaurant. It was so good, the bacon and the texture with that unique taste was amazing. Cookout winner there. This is the first time I have been to the restaurant and I don't see myself coming back. It may be just a job but it really does matter for the business. Slim Chickens was slim pickins.

Well I’m very disappointed. Came here on a Sunday because Chick-fil-A was closed and wow this place was a disappointment. They weren’t to busy but took 10 minutes to order couldn’t hear the lady behind the counter because she wouldn’t speak up. Went to pick the cleanest table I could find had to clean it myself and it was very sticky as were the other 6 open tables ( does no one clean the tables?) Took 30min to get the food and it was cold very cold not a single thing we ordered was hot and the chicken breast on my sandwich was hard and very small could have fit two on the bun. Long story short this place has potential to be successful but definitely needs some management help.

First time eating at this chain. Was pretty meh. Nothing horrible. Nothing amazing. The chicken seemed to be a bit tough. The fries were not very fresh. I’ll give this place another try some day.
