Slim Chickens - Chicken restaurant in Lawrence - 701 Wakarusa Dr, USA

It was my first time dining inside in a few months, and I was pretty disappointed in the cleanliness. We couldn't find a clean table at 1:30 in the afternoon, even though they weren't busy. The floors are so greasy your feet slide around when walking. I hope the kitchen is cleaner! The bathroom STINKS like they have drain problem. Food was good as usual, though I have noticed the tenders aren't quite as meaty as they used to be. Front counter staff was friendly and turnaround time was good. I am a frequent customer but will think twice before dining here again.

good food but dont order through grubhub. Apparently they have an issue with giving the right bag to the driver (maybe don't put your illiterate workers on a line that requires reading)

Me and my fiancée love to treat ourselves to this place. Their chicken is so good, and their sauces are great as well. Unfortunately tonight, it was the complete opposite. The chicken wings were super tiny and had hardly any meat on them. The sauce on them was good, but that’s the only redeemable factor for them. The fries and toast were good, but not good enough to overcome the disappointment I had for the wings. My fiancée loves to get their chicken tenders and is usually always loving them, but her meal was also lacking in the quality we are used to. The chicken tenders were dry and thin. To be honest, these aren’t enough to make us never want to go back to Slim Chickens, but we probably won’t be back anytime soon. 2 stars because it’s usually amazing, otherwise it would be a 5 star. Edit: Slim Chickens contacted me and made it right. Since I’ve been back it’s been fantastic as it usually is! Thank you!

I've only been to the drive-thru but I always have great service and the food is above average for fast food!! My kids love the Texas toast too!!

Great food! This was my first time ordering here and it was AMAZING! The portion of fried pickles you get is giant. Super fresh and friendly crew.

I’m a truck driver so what I consume is very important to me. I ordered the chicken & waffle, and I also ordered the six piece chicken and fries. The chicken strips where soft flavorful & juicy but the waffle was lacking in taste & texture. I asked for my wings to be extra crispy 😑they weren’t. As you can see from the photo I couldn’t eat the flats, the fries tasted good but yeah at that point my experience with Slim Chicken was ruined. Wasn’t worth the $26 I spent. Sorry.

This was my first time trying Slim Chicken. The place looked great and I loved the music. The staff where very polite. I got the wing meal with spicy sauce and ranch dip. The fries looked and tasted fresh. Just needed some salt which was easily fixed with some salt packets. The wings where small and not enough to fill me up, but they where cooked well and juicy inside. Was a little disappointed by the sauce. It wasn’t spicy at all. If there was a spicier sauce I’ll have to try it. Not enough to stop me from coming back and trying more, I feel the portion size could be bigger. Other than that not bad. Looking forward to trying the sandwiches and chicken and waffles.
