Slickers Adirondack Tavern - Bar in Old Forge - 3132 NY-28, USA

Great food. The restaurant was fairly busy, but with all of the staff working, the service was subpar. The food took way too long to come out from the kitchen, and the server did not update us on the progress of our food. My biggest issue with this place is probably the flat coke that was served. After finishing our meals, the wait for the check was far too long. Aside from the service and wait times, the restaurant, in my opinion, is not set up for families to come to eat. It's more of a bar atmosphere, scream talking to those at your own table and bar stools and tables with few booths. It's not the best place for a family dinner.

this place is awful been waiting almost 2 hours for food and to get a table and still haven't gotten our food after an hour of ordering it and an hour of waiting to get a table. it's cold and super loud. not only that the service is bad the lady has come over like 2 times and we got here at 6:40 and it's now 8:40 and just got told our food is coming out in 3 mins. this place doesn't even deserve a 1 star review. honey mustard is liquid and warm 🤮 order is wrong. half a pound is not a half a pound. the picture is the honey mustard. a lot of the food was over cooked. sweet potato fries were all grease. fries are not good at all. 5 minutes into eating our waitress dropped silverware onto the middle of the table and walked off with the napkins we asked for. she constantly walks away from us and disappears when we ask for things. and it was $150 for a 2 HOURS WAITING FOR FOOD!! Ridiculous. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! 🤮🤮🤢🤮🤢

THE best nachos in the Adirondacks! We walked to a few places around Old Forge, wanting to make sure we visited as many taverns as possible. We waited for Slickers Nachos on purpose and we were not disappointed. Good drinks, great prices and awesome staff. We love Slickers!

Went with a group of old Submariners for a get-together. We tend to be a rowdy bunch, but they took it in stride and still provided great service along with good food. If mood lighting and ambiance is your thing, this may not be your place. Want good food at a good price... see you there next year.

Home-made clam chowder was sooo good that we had to come back 2 days later just to get some more. The atmosphere is also great! We were only in town for a few days but we now have a favorite spot next time we come back to this area

I think the best way of describing the service here is efficient. Food is tasty too. A local winery's staff recommended Slickers for lunch, specifically for the French dip, and it didn't disappoint. Paired perfectly with a Utica Club. Or 3. Reasonable prices. Would definitely stop in again if I'm ever in the area.

Used to come here with the kids back in the day. Service was good. Food was great, really good fish fry. Won't wait so long to go back again.

Their French Dip and peel-n-eat shrimp are worth checking out. Try their Paddler’s Punch too!
