Clean, spacious restaurant with outdoor and deck seating too. Ordered chicken tenders with sweet potato fries, hash browns with onion & cheese, side salads, and fried mushrooms. The mushrooms and tenders were hand breaded! Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty. My server was friendly and knowledgeable, and the crowd was social and kind. Bathrooms were very clean.
Huge portions!! The salad was fresh and vibrant. The chicken strips were breaded in house and deep fried to perfection. The fried mushrooms were the best I ever had at a bar/restaurant it was as if I made them myself. Wash all that back with a blue mon straight from the tap and that made for the perfect dinner for a cyclist on the go. The service was good and the owner was one of the nicest people I have met in Iowa I could tell she valued her guest experiences.
Great local restaurant in Dike, IA. Busy but fast seating and good service. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. The menu is really large with many options of sandwiches, salads, wraps and appetizers. We had a big pretzel that was hot and delicious. Our party also had a grilled tenderloin and the sweet chicken chili wrap. Both were very good. The sweet potato fries were also great…large, crisp and hot. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely plan to return and try other menu options
Great local joint. Always incredibly busy when I've gone here in the evenings but usually get a seat pretty quick like and the service is outstanding. Great appetizers and burgers! Stop by Slice if you're ever in the Dike area.
The food is… okay. Some things are better than other’s, the pizza was very disappointing. Every time I go in I get one of 2 waitresses who just lack all social skills, it’s very awkward and we always feel like a burden. And carding 60 year olds was crazy, especially since one of us hasn’t had a license in years. Wont be back.
They had a full house but they still worked us in and we were fed quickly!
I would agree that customer service is fantastic at Slice. Free popcorn, delicious menu, and a wide selection of spirits - what's not to love!?
Good was excellent, service was good. The only down side to Slice is the noise level. The metal building makes the voices and laughter bounce back and forth making table conversations very difficult.
