No. Do not stay here. I work in the office of and represent a construction crew that stayed in this motel while out of town on a commercial renovation and construction contract. This place was a nightmare from start to finish. Online the price was listed at $64/night. When I tried to book online, I wasn't able to, so I called. It took several phone calls to get a person to pick up the phone. The line would ring repeatedly. When I was finally able to speak with someone, they spoke very limited English. If you are going to have someone answer the phone, they need to speak English at a minimum. After a very lengthy phone booking process, I still wasn't sure if the booking was confirmed (the person did not know how to send a confirmation email and/or did not understand that I was asking for one). I realized a booking was complete when the credit charge went through for almost $400. Again, I did not know if the person understood that I wanted to book 2 rooms with double beds for 2 nights. I am not sure what happened to the $64/night rate. Unfortunately, we had to stay since my crew was working within a mile of this location. We were a late booking and would not receive a refund for late/last-minute cancellation. It is not even 24 hours later and the crew that is staying here cannot wait to leave. They won't even open their suitcases due to the cockroaches running around the room and up the walls. There is roach poop on the walls too. We all live in Florida and are not unfamiliar with them. However, this is unsanitary and disgusting. The room is dirty and smells bad. When the foreman on the crew brought the bug infestation to the manager's attention, she was unhelpful, rude, and nasty. I feel terrible that I am responsible for booking the crew in such awful conditions. They are not picky men. They want to sleep well after working 12-14 hours in a clean and quiet room. Never again.

My brother stays here when he is in the area. Newly renovated. Awesome, friendly staff who make every attempt to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Rooms are reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. Give the new owners a chance! You will be pleasantly surprised. It's no longer a dump with a bad reputation.

This motel has had a reputation...not gonna lie surprise me how quite it is compared to the other hotels in town ..no issues no problems service has been great ..

I've been in Culpeper VA all of my life. I remember how this place use to be. The renovations are great. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The greeting that I received upon arrival was remarkable. I would recommend Sleepy Hollow to everyone. They also offered to pick me up from the train station.

I came in from DC to visit someone in the area. I read the other reviews and this one seemed to be the best for the least. I came in and the woman behind the counter said it was $70 a night. I was staying for two nights and couldn't afford much. The other motels down the road were easily $125 a night. I said OK, paid and was given my key. I walked into the room and it was disgusting. Holes in the walls, rips in the comforters, stains on the carpet, mold in the bathroom...like the No Tell Motel where dead bodies are hidden. I went back to the counter and apologized that I couldn't stay here. She had me follow her to the room to have a look. She opened the door to the room next to this one and it was completely different! New carpet, re finished bathroom with new slide door shower and new toilet; new air conditioner, TV and new comforters with nicer, newer lamps and furniture. I was shocked, but agreed to stay. So this place is good, if you get the right room!

We previously had a family reunion in Culpeper and needed a place to stay with our three young children for the weekend. We had a problem with our room selling like smoke and they gave offered us with a new room. The stay was great the rooms are a little outdated but that didn’t bother us. We loved the price and location for the weekend. The new owner definitely turned to motel round. We will be staying again for future events.
