Sleep Inn Hanes Mall - Hotel in Winston-Salem - 1985 Hampton Inn Ct, USA

I stay at hotels across the country 20 nights a month. I usually stay at the Hampton Inn across the street where I have 175,000 points built up. For some weird reason this hotel never populated in my hotel search. Maybe because there's no truck parking. My room was as nice as the Hampton inn across the street. The ONLY difference was the shower being a glass door style vs a glass slider opening. The price was below market and I will stay here every time moving forward.

Good clean room but the hotel is back in behind the mall and felt uncomfortable to my girl friend. Quiet though a few drunks that night. Worked for our stop over. Employees were friendly and helpful. Easy to access many local restaurants and bars . Enjoy

My fiance and I came to the area to tour a wedding venue and booked a one night stay. Upon arriving we only had a short amount of time before we had to get to our appointment. The check in process took a rather long time and once we got into our room, we found it to be rather dirty. The toilet was not cleaned and had hair on the seat. The bed sheets and hand towels also had hair on them. The walls were dirty and so were the floors. We had to leave to get to our appointment and decided in the car that we were uncomfortable staying the night. After arriving back at the hotel to check out and ask for a refund, the “gentleman” at the front desk called my fiance a “liar” for stating we did not have time to check out prior to our appointment and refused to process a refund for us. The place is dirty and the people are rude. Absolutely would not recommend. Would have given 0 stars if I could.

The rooms were just average. We booked 2 rooms and requested that they be connected, but when we arrived we were told our rooms could not connect. They weren't as clean as I'd like, but it worked for a quick one night stay as part of our longer road trip.

Decided to get a room to relax because I had teeth pulled. Had some teenage kids kick my door open. The man working the desk had an attitude with my boyfriend and asked him if he wanted to take things outside to the parking lot. After speaking with the manager, they have banned us from the property because instead of looking at the cameras, they decided to believe the front desk guy.

We booked a room here for 2 nights while visiting family for Thanksgiving. The only good thing was that the room itself seemed clean. Overall, the room is small. The toilet and shower are in a room with a sliding pocket door that was kind of hard to open and close. The bed was comfortable. However, the room overall seemed dark and dingy. The stand the fridge sat in appeared quite old and had pieces of it flaking off at the bottom. They really need to update the furniture. The entrance/lobby area looked updated, but once you go back to where the rooms are, you can see they spend no money investing in updates. The carpet in the hallway our room was in was filthy and had dark stains all over it. The only staff I saw the entire time we were there was the check-in in person. The desk was empty every time I walked by. Which made me kind of concerned about security. The hotel is way in the back at a dead end, and we saw some kind of sketchy people standing around. The parking lot is not very well lit. There were some kids running up and down playing in the hall, but luckily, they stopped by the time I went to sleep. Although someone did jiggle the handle on our room door at one point, I'm going to assume it was the kids playing in the hall, but I don't know for sure. The breakfast selection wasn't very good. I had a tiny yogurt, and my bagel was stale. The bananas were brown. This place needs an entire overhaul. I will not be staying here again.

This was the first time I ever stayed at this motel. My room was very nice, comfy and clean. The motel was very spacious, bright, and modern; all the staff were nice and friendly. The breakfast area was well stocked, and there was quite a variety of beverages and foods to choose from. Due to the motel being close to the freeway, you can hear the traffic should your room be facing the freeway. I highly recommend this Sleep Inn.

We stayed here about 5 years ago & it was superb. We thought it was better than a Comfort Inn. |I’m sad to say the physical plant has not weathered the COVID years very well. The service at the front desk & at the the breakfast room was friendly & helpful. The breakfast selections were good. The whole place was clean. Our beds were comfy& made correctly. One towel was stained. The bathroom door needed repair & paint. The hall smelled like tobacco smoke but I don’t know why. It was quiet & we slept well. It’s close to restaurants & shopping. |This is a fine choice to stay for one night while traveling through.
