Sleep Inn Beaver- Beckley - Hotel in Beaver - 1124 Airport Rd, USA

As a diamond member and Someone who has stayed here a lot since 2021 I can't say enough about how great this hotel is. The location is quiet The rooms are always clean. the breakfast is great. Above all The staff is excellent, from the manager to the housekeeping folks and have enjoyed all my stays here. My dog traveled with me until recently. A++ to anyone looking to stay at this hotel.

We stayed here with our two dogs on Christmas night while passing through. The staff was friendly. The rate was very reasonable and the breakfast was great. No elevator just fyi. While in the area make sure you get to the new river visitor center nearby, Grandview.

TLDR; this hotel is dirty and our room had bed bugs (as of 09/20/2023)|I wasn't expecting much from this hotel, I knew it was a one night stop-over and it wasn't ideal, but ultimately would be fine for one night. The stairs and hallway leading to our room smelled horribly of industrial strength cleaning chemicals as if they were trying to cover up another smell. Our room was musty to the point that the carpet felt moist, there were piles of dust and dirt in corners, and everything had a layer of dust on it like it had not been cleaned recently. The hotel also allows pets in every room, and had some dog hair embedded in the carpet. Not ideal, but these are things I was willing to overlook.|We checked in around 9pm, by the time we got back from dinner and settled in for bed around 12:30am we found bed bugs crawling on the wall directly beside the bed. We packed up our belongings and went down to the front desk. We didn't feel comfortable staying in another room and decided to leave. The person at the front desk at this hour didn't have the authority to give us a refund, then at 1am we had to drive around looking for a hotel that had vacancy and ended up having to pay double the amount. Since I booked through Expedia for TD, they had to contact the hotel on my behalf for a refund. After multiple tries, Sleep Inn refused any form of a refund or compensation. I had to contact their corporate (Choice Hotels) to open a case, and they were able to eventually offer me just a partial refund via wire transfer at the base value of the room, which ends up being about $40 less than what I paid. I'm extremely unimpressed with the lack of responsibility that the hotel took. Bed bugs should always warrant a full refund.

It's late I'm tired. It was cheap. Bed is so so. Shower was weird shape. Lol I thought it was neat. Guy at desk was nice. I hope a dog with fleas hasn't slept on my bed. I liked all the light swiches. In room and fart fan in bathroom sucked the steam from my hot shower out.

Much better than I expected. Room is clean and the price was great. The main hallway and furniture could be updated and dont seem that great but I would be willing to bet this is the best price point hotel in the area. This is also based off of me getting a room for $53.

The hotel is in a well lit, safe location with dining, gas, and shopping options close by. The cost was very reasonable, and the outer building and lobby looked visually clean. |The parking spots were very narrow with very little room to exit your car on either side. |The front desk folks were friendly. |The room (#109) had an overpowering moldy/sour odor. The air conditioner cover was off the unit basically leaning on the front. |The overall appearance of the room was very dated with a rundown feel. |The base of the shower (bottom where you stand) was worn completely down to the point of sinking/soft and the shower door had no framing causing the door to swing both in and out. This caused water to pool on the bathroom floor. The toilet handle had to be held down to work properly. |The dining area was limited with no hot options other than a waffle machine and noticably below Sleep Inn's standard breakfast fare. |I would put the stay more of a 2.5 if available just based on the cost and other mentioned positives. This site needs much work to be what you would expect for a Sleep Inn. |

I’m writing this on behalf of my parents. At one point this Sleep Inn was a great place to stay. My parents came to WV for a visit, and as they’ve done in the past, booked a room here. My dad booked a room with a king size bed that was handicap accessible. As my dad went to play golf, I took my mother over to check in at the hotel. Upon arrival, my mother handed the paper printout with their reservation info on it. The young lady behind the desk glanced at it and quickly asked my mother if she needed that paperwork back. My mother said no. The young lady proceeded to check my mother in, gave us room keys, and directions to the room. When we got to the room, the room had an overpowering stench. Not only that, the room had double beds, not the king bed my parents had booked. I told my mother that there was absolutely no way she was to stay in that room overnight. When she returned to the front desk, she asked for the room she had actually booked, the handicap accessible room with the king sized bed. The young lady informed my mother that the only rooms they had with king sized beds were on the 2nd floor, but there was no elevator. I’ll let you folks draw your own conclusions as to what went on here. I don’t really like leaving bad reviews, but I really don’t like when my parents are swindled. Kind of shameful, really.

I won't return! I usually use this hotel for 3-4 days a month when I travel for work. You get to know the people there. Boss needs to check in on maintenance. They smoke pot on property. It smells bad
