Sleep Inn & Suites - Hotel in Dunmore - 102 Monahan Ave, USA

We booked 2 rooms. Both had a weird stale smell. Sheets were stained and ripped. Lots of damaged areas in the rooms. Outside building perimeter is absolutely covered with litter. TV remote was missing, we were given a gross sticky half-functioning remote with no back panel. We used back entrance to take our dog out as it was closer to our room and someone kept blocking it open all night with various objects. I noticed some very expensive cars in the parking lot which makes me wonder if this is a drug hub or somewhere to take escorts because surely no one with that kind of money would choose to stay here. Pillows were uncomfortable and was kept awake by what sounded like someone trying to put their key card in our door all night long. Almost got up to look but was too nervous and just wanted to sleep. On top of it all the curtain next to the bed wouldn't close all the way so I had a blinding bar of light shining in my face all night. On the plus side, the breakfast was decent, lots of options and was attended by a very energetic and cheerful manager type. Location was kind of odd and sketchy but at least it was right by the interstate with plenty of food options nearby. It was ok for one night but I'd never stay here again. Please take a giant bottle of soap and a scrub sponge to every surface in this place, it's so grubby. :(

Stayed here just for one night to spend a few hours with family. Hotel is right off of 81 and less than a 2 minute drive to everything you'd need for food or gas which I loved. The rooms were nice and had enough space for us to hang out without feeling too cramped. Overall they were clean and looked nice. Didn't hear any noise from neighbors (if we had any). My only complaint room wise would be that our shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower were empty. When I went downstairs to ask for some refills in the evening, the woman at the front desk was dealing with an absolute monster of a guest throwing an adult sized tantrum. She maintained her composure and offered to fix the issue at hand several times despite being yelled at and called nasty names. She continued to be kind and very professional afterwards to me also even though I'm sure she was stressed and annoyed. Breakfast was plenty good enough for us. The gentleman attending it was very kind and helpful. The pool was a little chilly so the adults didn't swim but my 7 year old didn't mind one bit and took full advantage of it being empty while we were there. The hot tub unfortunately is NOT available for use currently, so be aware of that. I was a little bummed, however, I hadn't asked ahead of time and didn't check the reviews first either. Overall I enjoyed our stay here even though it was short, and would come back if I'm in the area again.

The staff, the breakfast, and the rooms all top notch. Right off the highway and a couple good food options near by. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were very welcoming and didn’t make us feel rushed. Best hotel I’ve stayed at in a while, will definitely be back.

Booked this hotel based on positive reviews and it was pet friendly. Mistake. Check in was easy and fast. We were assigned one of the pet friendly rooms on the 1st floor. Opened the door and was hit by a very strong wet dog smell. It was so bad I almost gagged. Returned to the front desk to request a room change. The shift must have changed because there was a very unpleasant lady working there. When I told her about the smell she said “ I don’t know what to tell you”. I asked for a room change and she gave me the one next to our original one. We checked it out and even though it has a slight dog smell it was definitely better so we took it. After settling in that room we found 2 dog bones on the floor, a paper clip between the sheets and human hair sticking to the sides of the shower and a used facecloth on the shower curtain rod. Felt we had no where else to go so we reluctantly stayed. Turned on the TV and it didn’t work. Went back to the front desk and Ms Pleasant asked if the cable box and TV were turned on. They were so she reluctantly came back to the room and unplugged box and somehow got it working. Checked out the next morning and we were charged for the dog twice. The morning desk person was great and got it fixed for us. The breakfast gentleman was pleasant and friendly at least. Will sleep in my vehicle before I ever return here . If you are going to advertise as pet-friendly , keep these rooms clean too. Just because we have a pet we don’t expect dirty run down rooms!

Great room for the price and only $35 for my dog to stay with us. Everybody who worked there was extremely helpful and wonderful. Free breakfast was good and free coffee. Great location and we will be back to stay on our next road trip

We only stayed there one night, and didn't have any room service, so I don't know the quality of that, but the room we stayed in was wonderful and the staff was really friendly. There was a slight smell of cigarettes in the elevator when we went up, but what the residents do is relatively out of the staff's control so I'm not holding it against them, just giving a slight warning to anyone who reads this. When we started pulling in it felt a little shady because of the fact that it is surrounded by other building that need a little work, but once we were in the parking lot it was really nice. The breakfast they have for free wasn't as big as some other restaurants, but was free and still really good, so no complaints here. Overall, not the best experience I've ever had at a hotel, but it's definitely still a pretty good one.

Stayed one night while visiting friends in the area. Good location close to the highway, well lit parking area. Greeted pleasantly and check-in was fast. Room was clean, comfy enough, only one desk chair -no other sitting chair, tv guide is a crap shoot -no idea really what is on. Unfortunately, safe was on the closet floor not usable. TP holders placed too far away, hope you have long arms. Breakfast was average – typical options hot/cold. Decent stop, would stay again.

Omg I love this place! Alexa at the front desk is so sweet! She was absolutely wonderful. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are like clouds. We couldn't wait to get back to Sleep Inns beds. Would recommend, we always find ourselves at sleep inns
