Sleep Inn - Hotel in Douglasville - 7055 Concourse Pkwy, I-20 exit 34, USA

Not what it used to be. My first stay there was in 2022 and have stayed multiple times until now June 2024. The front desk personnel, both Josh and Brenda, were pleasant and cordial. Now to the room, which smelled like the carpet needs a good shampoo. I watched a bed in my room get remade with new linen, but the mattress cover was left and not changed out. Unsanitary. The linens and towels also smelled like sweat and body odor. They were likely washed but not sanitized, so the odor is baked into the sheets, comforters, and toweling. I took everything to the laundromat in the WalMart plaza and washed/sanitized them myself. In light of this, how sanitary is the ice machine or the drink machine in the buffet area? The room rates are attractive, but I'll be paying a higher rate at either of the two hotels in the same vicinity. Good luck.

The hotel room was clean and the price was great but definitely needed upgrading. Half of the electrical outlets in my room didn't work & the ones that did, the sockets were too loose and the plugs would fall out!! The breakfast also needed revamping, no hot foods at all, just ate a muffin with OJ. Overall, as a diamond member, I was disappointed in the stay. I wouldn't recommend.

I have stayed here several times since 2022, and my current stay is not up to the standards of my last trip in March 2024. The linens and towels have the smell of washed body odor, which tells they are not being sanitized when washed. I took my sheets/towels to the laundromat in the Walmart plaza and washed/sanitized them myself. ||The carpet in my room smells dirty, so I sprayed it with antibacterial spray every 2 days. ||The double beds sag in the middle which hurts my back and knees. Both beds felt the same, not just the one in front of the television. I had to sleep at an angle.||This location used to be sold out almost every weekend. Not this time and I understand why not. The room rates are good but I'll pay more at another hotel for better accommodations. There is another hotel only a few feet away.

Positive: The overall cleanliness of the hotel, and the comfortable bed(s) and other amenities in the room. Negative: There were a few things in our room (cosmetically) that poses a potential hazard for injury and needs to be addressed ASAP. Also, the walls are not soundproof. You can hear certain...activities...in adjacent rooms.

Older hotel but the room interior has been recently renovated, breakfast is grab and go like muffins. When I checked in the young guy at the front wasn’t as welcoming as expected by a hotel by choice hotels. I’ve stayed at multiple choice hotels and they are happy and welcoming. The young man wasn’t at all welcoming. Seemed as I interrupted him. Beds were comfy and clean.

Let's start with the young man at check in. He was not pleasant at all. Told me my name wasn't listed to check in. Had to tell him I had already checked in I just need another key. That lasted for a good 3 mins till he finally gave me a key and actually looked the name up 🙄. No information given on any checkout time, no information on breakfast service... nothing! Rooms and hotel are outdated. There was no open and shut door for restroom, only a old sliding door which was difficult to open and close. Room doors slam when closing so every time someone close their room door it's very loud. The one's who was staying around me, when they open their door, it sounds like someone was trying to come in my room. You can hear housekeeping shouting down the hall and vacuuming the hall at 8am. Not a pleasant stay for me.

•Booked with the CLC app with no problem. •Checked in with no problem, although the clerk greeted me while seated below the counter. This caused me to reach and lean well over the desk than normal. •Rooms were so/so. I say ROOMS because I had to request another one dye to the heavy odor of cigarette smoke. The still seated clerk was gracious enough to assign me a new space that was a bit humid because the curtains draped over the ac unit, trapping the cool air. •Breakfast I didn't bother.

Traveling through. Everything East was booked because of Talladega in Alabama. Made it to Douglasville. |Brenda at front desk was very helpful. She even helped us with tv when we couldn't figure out how to get direct TV to work ( someone unplugged direct TV box).|Romm was clean, comfortable, breakfast good to help us as we continue trip from Trxas to SC. Faur price since many others booked and charging more because of big race in Talladega, Al.|Although hadn't planed staying I would again if Traveling this way.
