If it’s summer or winter, I would probably not stay here again. If the temperature was more mild, I would gladly stay here.
The bad
- No AC. It’s 99F high and 78 low in SLC and it is HOT in my room. I never used my during the day and slept in my underwear at night. They have swamp coolers in the halls that lower the temp of the hall but not your room if you close your door. I wonder if this is up to code or they’re skirting “livable condition” codes on a technicality. they’re technically providing a cooling method, but in reality, it has no impact if you close your door which you must in a hostel.
The neutral
- There’s quite a wide range of age which is unexpected for a hostel. This is a good thing though in my opinion. No one is partying, talking loudly, or playing music. It’s just people minding their own business.
- no staff on site. Only airbnb communication or emergencies.
The good
- other than the no AC, in general it’s pretty good.
- clean maintained restrooms
- clean shared areas
- kitchen, paid laundry
- workable WiFi
- street parking, no issues
- affordable
- just fine room. Clean, has hooks for hanging, a small ikea table
- good location
Unfriendliest hostel I’ve ever stayed at. I needed to keep my things there for an hour until I picked up a rental car, and they said I had to purchase a storage room. I decided to wait there until it was time to get the rental car, and I was told I had to leave. It was 10:20am. I couldn’t stay there for 1 hour.
So I had to Uber 2 blocks away since I couldn’t walk there with all my bags. The Uber driver also said everyone he picks up from there is unhappy and excited to leave.
Also, very small uncomfortable bed for 2 people. No air conditioner.
Wish a had just paid a few more dollars for somewhere else.
This place was everything we were looking for in a stay at a hostel. It was private, spacious and comfortable with tall ceilings. The host was even so gracious and kind enough to allow us a bit more time to check out because we woke up right at the minute of check-out. We were so exhausted from traveling so it was sincerely very appreciated that we were given an extra bit of time. The hostel was very quiet and perfectly located as it was near all major transit. Great bang for your buck! I highly recommend.
I wish there would be a ZERO star to rank this place. They won’t let you stay a minute longer after check out, they will LITERALLY kick you out very rudely, you cannot storage your bags if needed ( which is one of the most important services in a hostel ). Bed sounds terrible, if you kinda move, the sound will wake you up. It’s smelly, and not dark at all, lights filter from the doors. If you need a hostel for what a hostel is, THIS IS NOT ONE. You’re better off staying at an Airbnb that costs about the same and you receive a human service and a way better place
Horrible Hostel No Hot Water , Bugs & Roaches & A Host Was Unresponsive For Check - In Didn’t Get Access To Inside till 11pm and I was there @ 3pm at check in time not to mention the washing and dryer didn’t work , and the once I saw the bugs and roaches I just left . any motel 6 better than here
Amazing Location, Amazing facilities, Amazing Communication.
I was visiting SLC to see some friends and could t stay with them and was at a loss with the price or quality of the traditional hotel offering available to book online.
Found this through AirBNB, it ticked all the boxes. Booking was easy the only abnormality was a quick questionnaire that filled me with confidence rather than annoyed.
On arrival check in was easy to follow and simple to execute. I had private room with shared shower and toilet facilities. Room was clean and comfortable with all the basics you need.
The toilets were plentiful and super clean, same with the showers. Bonus was the kitchen with a laundry (you’ll need change) and a massage chair.
The location is the real winner here I had so much at my fingertips it was impossible to get it all in. If I’m ever back in SLC this will be the spot.
I wish I could give this place zero stars. Absolute trash place and management. The manager is very rude and does not know how to talk to anyone at all. It’s freezing cold throughout the entire hostel and quiet hours are at 10:30 even though people still are checking in well after that time. It’s close to stuff though and if you don’t mind being in a cave it’s an ok deal but this is the worst hostel in America that’s for sure.
So usually when I do my ski trips to salt lake I stay at the Camelot hostel since it’s within walking distance to the trax. Anyways upon doing my usual reservation it was canceled and no room available, but this location had rooms available. Bit leery about this since I need access to trax to reach the uta ski bus well it turned out to be just 50 yards extra. |So as the other reviews in Camelot show there is no attendant on sight you need to handle everything using a smartphone device with texting or email. |I decided to book a single room due to COVID and with my ski gear I haul along works better. Since the construction is newer the bathroom facilities are pretty nice. |The heating worked well in the evening so no need to wear a layer of clothes once inside.
Epic fitness is a fantastic gym of caring, modest, highly trained and skilled fitness experts. The atmosphere is like nothing Iâve experienced, extremely welcoming. The equipment and setup of multiple stations is awesome. The workouts are custom to
