Slanted Rice Vietnamese Bistro - Vietnamese restaurant in Scottsdale - 6149 N Scottsdale Rd, USA

This was a homerun for us. Found it on Google, read the reviews and followed through. Located in a strip mall, lots of parking. Not your oversized, chain restaurant, rather a small homey environment with lots of chatter and locals at the counter talking about the world. Food is fantastic!! Rice clay pot with shrimp and shaken beef, both were amazingly flavourful.

This place is amazing! I live in Oregon and we don’t have a restaurant that would ever compare to this one. The food is very authentic and the staff members are so nice! Try their garlic noodles! I’m sure you’ll be back 3 times too!

Okay food but premium prices I feel. We were here to explore and try a new dish but it wasn’t as per the expectations we had. Won’t say you shouldn’t try it but I have tried other Vietnamese places (the one on Cave Creek and 101) and I know the taste. Try it if you like and added a few pictures.

I had the pork vermicelli (pic) and spring rolls. Very flavourful, clean, friendly good place 👌 defenetly recommended

What a terrible name for an Asian restaurant! That said, the food was pretty good, albeit an Asian employee narry in sight. I assume it’s not owned by Vietnamese as No chop sticks are provided.Spring rolls weee good. Curry chicken ,meh. Bun is provided with capellini ( not clear rice vermicelli) which is not Vietnamese. Having said that, the food was good, but not great. Service was very good but we were also only one of two tables. I’d recommend as log as you’re not expecting Vietnamese.

Went based on a friend’s recommendation. Excellent dinner. The pork egg rolls were crispy and filled with pork. The potstickers were different than any I’ve had before. They were deep fried but absolutely delicious! We had the firecracker shrimp and garlic noodles and the shaken beef. I’d have everything again and again. Can’t wait to go back.

The calamari and spring rolls were pretty good but I was really disappointed with the flavor of the pho and egg rolls. The pho had almost no flavor. The prices felt far too high too.

Service and environment were great. The issue is the food. I ate the pho dac biet and shaking beef. Pho broth is watery and probably on the lower end in terms of taste. Shaking beef was tasty but the beef was a bit tough. Not worth the price. If you're looking for pho specifically, do not go here. If you're seeking rice dishes I'm sure the rest of the menu is good. There's not a large selection of good pho in Scottsdale and the only one I can vouch for is rice paper on shea.
