Juvenile owls seasonally use this park as a 'jumping off" spot, it's close to the river and near some 'natural' areas, as well as close to Duck Beach, where I'm sure they're able to get their bearings and get over their parents separating from them. They're a trip to see in the late evening, hopping around like toddlers on the playground equipment and coming over to where you're sitting/standing to check you out. This park is surrounded by a neighborhood that's generally very quiet, so it's a good idea to be quiet and if you're up to nonsense, steer clear altogether. It's very well maintained and is a nice place to break during a bike ride if you're not on the bike path. There's a basketball court and they're recently added what appears to be a baseball field.
Mid-sized playground with quite a few fun features. The sideless slide makes me nervous but my preschooler has no problem staying on - neither did I. Along with the playground equipment (slides, swings for big and little kids, teeter-totter, small spinning feature, etc.) there are also basketball hoops, tennis courts, restrooms and plenty of grassy area.
Nice little park with some picnic benches, a basketball court, and a tennis court. There are 3 disc golf baskets also so you can get some putting practice in but that's pretty much it; without beaning someone with a disc golf disc. There's some restrooms there as well.
I have lunch here in the park with my family all the time. Great place for kids to play and there are nearby little free libraries. Lots of walking paths. ADA friendly. Bathrooms. Frisbee golf.
First time to this park. It was clean had basketball, pickle ball and nice play area for kids. Lots of trees for nice shaded areas and picnic areas
We've nicknamed it :Big Tree Park" because of its massive tall fir trees that keep this hidden gem of a park not so unnoticeable amongst the Whittaker neighborhood that has a clean individua, large bathroom, new updated picnic tables, a tennis court, play area for the kids, and this park, the last I seen had NO graffiti, keeping it looking sharp with the plush green grass around the short but nice meandering path.
THis has been a favorite Go To, for many Years. I go away to Hawaii and now live in Alaska, and this Establishment always provides a Caring and Nurturing Environment. Aloha
Lots of shade, I like that they have toys to dig with in the sand. Just one sketchy looking slide for my 22 month old that didn't look like it had sides..lol but overall great park. Lots of shade and picnic tables
Great hike. Not too challenging but enough to give you a workout and a reward of a fabulous view from the top.
Can be a little busy but I found everyone is friendly and enjoying the hike.
Yeah. So anyway. I went wandering. This Park is right here. Never went anywhere. I am not the only person who found it. All kinds of Human Beings here. Frolicsome. Noisome. Happy to be alive, Human Beings. Wide open. Useful. A delight. S
I just love this park so much. It's never too busy, but it's absolutely gorgeous and there is always good people and dog watching! If you want a nice place to relax in the sun come here.
Cute park with a massive playground and open areas. The real gem are small pathways thru the treeline down to the water for a secluded spot to hang in the shade and listen to the water
Great walk pleasant people try and do together walk in 45 minutes. The best I've done is 50 minutes. Beautiful and always interesting things turkeys owls.
My family & I love coming here. Its kind of a special place for us. Amazing view of Eugene & breathtaking view of the mountains. Drive up to the top always freaks me out tho, its unnerving cuz it's pretty steep!
It's a great park to walk. Right next to the Willamette River, the mixture of green and bubbling clear water create a very nice environment for a walk or bike. Across the bridge is the university of Oregon, and many office buildings. Great area to re
Lovely little jaunt in South Eugene. Typically quite clean, somewhat vertical and parking can be a bit tight at the bottom of the trail so arrive early or be lucky!
This place is now my new favorite lunch spot.
I discovered this place about two weeks ago and have gone back 5 times for lunch since.
My go to smoothie- Chocolate Cherry Smoothie
My go to Meal- I LOVED the sushi but everything is good!

This was a surprise find on a trip to Eugene. We went on our first night; but based on the owner, friendly atmosphere, and crowd, we went back each night we were in the area.
