Skylark Diner & Lounge - Diner in Edison - 17 Wooding Ave, USA

Cute dinner with excellent service and food. Our waitress was attentive but not overly so. Portions were quite large which made up for it being a bit on the pricey side. We will definitely be back.

Went for a late brunch on a snowy Saturday . This place is usually packed we got lucky because of the weather and were seated immediately . In the past 2-3 times whenever We ordered off the brunch menu and everything was really good. My favorite was the Oreo French toast it’s more of dessert than breakfast food atleast in my humble opinion but I throughly enjoyed it 😎. I also got the farmers omelette and my daughter ordered the New Yorker and both were really good. The service was also really good . I would definitely go back.

***edited review… Been here 3 times since this review. Each of those times, service was slow or non-existent. Finally flipped to the other side of the menu for non breakfast items and the selections are scarce for a diner. No regular sandwiches like tuna fish etc. Had the salmon pita wrap and it was not good. Fries were yummy. Onion soup too salty, couldn’t eat it. Won’t be back, unfortunately. Friendly service, clean and great menu variety.

Skylark Diner in Edison, NJ – where I ended up going solo for dinner. Picture this: me, alone, embracing the art of solitude while sipping on a cappuccino - very European . The black bean burger was an absolute maestro in the culinary world – taste buds, take a bow. 🙇‍♀️ The ambiance was not your conventional "diner" label and went for an atmosphere that screams CHILL date night. I felt like I stumbled into a hidden a romantic rendezvous, and the fine dining service was the cherry on top – who knew a diner could pull off elegance with such flair? I do now ! The cleanliness at The Skylark takes it to a whole new level. It's so pristine you could eat off the floor – although, why do that when you have a menu that has so many options to choose from. Skylark Diner, you've raised the diner game to an art form. 5/5 stars, and a standing ovation for turning my solo dining into a culinary masterpiece! ☕🍔🌟

This review is only for the bar and lounge section of this restaurant. I’ll have to try food sometimes and then rewrite this review again later . Very nice location . Right in RT1 . Lots of parking available . We went around 7.45 pm and they said the restaurant is closing , even though google said they are open till 9pm.. there were people in bar and lounge and we had to talk to three different people for us to go in. We left in 10-15 mins after a quick drink. Beer selection was good . They had few beers 🍻 on tap. I liked Stella . Price wise it was ok. About 5$ per 🍺.. not bad .. loved the atmosphere inside . Service could be better but it was ok. Overall , it could be better .

Visiting from out of town, my oldest daughter and I stopped by after a bowling tournament 2yrs ago, this time only my youngest bowled . Although dinner time I ordered Sky High Reese’s Pieces French Toast. I enjoyed the large French Toast with bananas, whipped cream, and Reese’s pieces top with side syrup, 10 of 10. For my to go option I chose Shrimp and Grits, I ate this later and was disappointed. A mix between bland and some flavor, also 3 of my shrimp still had shell on them, for the price this was overvalued. My daughter enjoyed her appetizer Alfredo Tacos de Birria and regretted not ordering 2 of them, 10 of 10. Outstanding service by our waitress and excellent military/police discount. We will visit again.

Amazing tasting chicken alfredo with a generous portion of chicken. The chocolate shake with reese's pieces was a great sweet treat. My husband really liked his pepperoni pizza! The decor is intriguing as well!

I’ve been here a few times and it’s always great. Service is always nice and bathrooms are clean. I had the shrimp and grits and it was great! Definitely will be back again :)
