Sky Top Orchard - Orchard in Flat Rock - 1193 Pinnacle Mountain Rd, USA

Loved our trip to Sky Top. I would recommend getting there early if you don’t want to wait in super long lines. The donut line was extremely long when we got the in the afternoon. We decided to wait in the bakery line and ordered a few apple items and a donut with ice cream which was delicious. We also tried the apple cider slushee which was good too! They have lots of activities for kids including a play area, tractor ride, and apple launcher. You can either pick your own apples or buy them from the inside stand. If you go to their website they have all the available apples listed on there for each week/month. Parking is in the wooded area and is not paved.

What a cool place. You pay them to pick your own fruit. What a concept. But kidding aside, we picked Honey Crisp and you don’t get any fresher. It was a fun family outing. They have lots of varieties but you should check ahead before going to make sure the kind of apple you like is ready to be picked. After picking a bunch of apples we stopped for some hot apple cider donuts…wow, really good. We paid $30 for about 10 to 15 pounds of honey crisp which is a fair price, given we did all the work.

Beautiful family friendly orchard with a nice play area for the kids including the famous Apple Cannon! Their farm stand had all their apple varieties picked and ready to go, or you can do like most and take your time and u-pick. They offered all the typical baked goods and jarred products, but the lines were too long for me to purchase anything with the short timeframe I had. After checking out 4 orchards in 1 day, id recommend a minimum of 3 hours at each to get the full experience

We love this place!! We have been coming here for years with our children. Today the weather was beautiful so it was extremely crowded. We waited to get a parking spot for about 10 minutes, but ended up getting a close spot. They changed the way they do apple picking. You pay for the bag $30 and then you take the bag and fill it up with your apple picking. BRING CASH!!! If you do not have cash, then you have to wait in a huge line for about 30-45 plus minutes to pay with your CC like we did today. One note they do have a ATM for your use. You must get the Apple Donuts!! They are delicious and we also bought an apple slushy!!! Yummy🍎 We had a beautiful day! There are so much things for the kids to do such as a gem mine, farm animals, apple picking and a nice play area. We brought our puppy and there were a ton of other dogs. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the huge lines! You need to get on this line for drinks, goodies, paying for apple’s, hayride tickets, train tickets for the kids and other activities. They are so busy which is a good thing, I just think they need more staff as a register or 2 was available but no one was using them. Of course we love this place and will keep our traditions from year to year and always come here, but we will be here first thing in the morning when they open as they are not as busy first thing. 🍎🍎🍎

Excellent apple orchard for visiting. Well laid out, clean and organized. Competitive prices. Fresh Cider. Lots of apple varieties. Apple Cider doughnuts!! Hot dogs. Jams and jellies. Children's playground. Some animals on site. Rides for children and adults through the orchard. And you can pick your own if desired. Highly recommend.

Sky Top Orchard offers so much fun things to do for families: playgrounds, apple shooting cannon, gold rush gem mining, hay rides and bee train rides, petting zoo, peacocks, bamboo forest, pond. I mean you can come early and spend all day there. And if you like apples you can U-pick or buy from them. The orchard looks large, still saw many apples on the trees. They have bakery and hot dogs, but the lines were too long so we didn’t get anything. Cons: parking was busy, long lines everywhere

A wonderful family experience, everything from picking your own apples, apple canon, hayrides, and bee rides for kids, and even gem mining. Plus they have a shop where you can buy honey, apple butters and everything in-between. They have kettle corn,candy apples, hot apple cider available for purchase. Overall wonder experience. Very pleased and well priced as well. And definitely try the Apple Cider Donuts you won't be disappointed. 😁

BRING CASH!!!!!! Kids had the best time! The kids loved apple picking, playground, tractor ride, and the apple cannon! We went at 10am on a Sunday trying to beat the crowds. By 1pm it was packed and the lines were long. Would have given 5 stars but so many things were 'cash only' or you had to go stand in a different line to purchase vouchers for tickets. Highly suggest bringing lots of cash as most activities are purchased individually. We did go pretty deep into the orchard to find ripe apples and dodge the crowds. This is a true farm with rough/uneven walkways.
