Enjoyable walking trails with ever-changing landscapes, creating a wild atmosphere. The paths are not too challenging, but there's a slight risk of getting lost the way.

Awesome rock formation very close to the road, but hidden behind trees. There is parking right along the side of the road, well marked and paved. We just went in and out, but there is definitely more to explore beyond the skull.

Our second stop at Joshua Tree National Park was Skull Rock, and it did not disappoint! This iconic natural wonder is conveniently located right by the main road, making it easily accessible and a must-visit for all park-goers. It is also visible from your car. The granite rock's erosion created two hollowed-out eye sockets, giving it the name Skull Rock. Parking can be a bit tight, but you can always park at Jump Rocks Campground and take a short walk back to the rock. If you're up for more adventure, there's a 1.7-mile loop trail nearby to explore. The unique rock formations and the surrounding desert landscape make this a fantastic stop along your Joshua Tree journey. Don't miss it!

This was a stop in Joshua Tree. We enjoyed the stop which was close to the roadway. We laughed about what angle you have to view the rock from to see the 'Skull'. It was all good fun and we spent about 45 minutes climbing the rocks and paths

While on our way to the Skull Rock Trail on 2-25-2018 we took in the views of the different style dwellings along the way. We noticed subtle changes in the terrain the closer we came to the trail. When we arrived, we could see the skull shaped rock protruding out the ground as if were waking from a nap. The girls had their thrill and we were ready to continue on to our next BLM spot.

Great view and experience, no restroom, stay hydrated though. :D

The trail itself is well-marked and moderately challenging, making it suitable for all skill levels. The scenic views along the way are breathtaking, showcasing the park's natural beauty. Be sure to bring water and sunscreen, as shade is limited. Overall, Skull Rock Trail is a memorable adventure that allows you to connect with the stunning desert landscape.

The name is a bit misleading. We didn't see a single boy scout. But the trail itself is nice. Gravely, but nice.

Wonderful experience! Ribeye was cooked to perfection, and my wife's Caesar salad was delicious as well (I stole some 😋). It was our anniversary, so they did a complementary toast and dessert. We will definitely be back, if you're ever in 29 Pa

We had a tour today. Thanks to the Ranger and the Caretakers, it was delightful. The simple life is not what it sounds like, Mr Keys and his family worked hard! It's good to see life in the old west.
