Skalbekken County Park - Park in Sacred Heart - 79257 Co Rd 10, USA

Absolutely love this place. Some of the prettiest trails I have ridden in Minnesota. Good place to get the horses in shape. The whole campground is under big oak trees that provide a lot of shade and beautiful view right on the river!

This is a nice County Park on the Minnesota River near Sacred Heart. There are gravel roads to ride on. It's also a place a lot of folks go to ride their horses. There are hiking trails we have not explored yet.

It’s primitive camping which we like. The porta potties are maintained which is very nice. It would be nice to have more tent sites ONLY!!! RV’s pull in and you have to listen to generators running all day long and night.

Nice quiet secluded park by the Minnesota River. Lots of access to fishing.

Local and well maintained. Lots of hiking trails and horse trails. Tons of wildlife and great fishing.

Amazing trail system. A person can easily spend an entire day here hitting the trail network.

I was kind of nervous about stopping here but needed a restroom very badly. The porta potty was clean and the view was beautiful. The grounds are well maintained

Nice park to enjoy the day or camp. People are nice and if you have kids it wouldn't surprise me if someone gave them a ride on the horse. Hawk creek flows in to the mn river just upstream and that's worth seeing if the road isn't flooded. It was $20 to camp and firewood is normally there and free
