Love scenic Florence, Oregon! The bridge is beautiful, the sand dunes, river... all beautiful! A small, clean strolling town with interesting shops, galleries and great food! (Try some Oregon beers on tap while you're there).
This is one of many arch bridges along the Oregon 101 highway. It’s a beautiful bridge that can be viewed all along bay st by the water fronts.
Florence is a beautiful little town. The bridge is a bascule bridge (moving bridge) and was completed in 1936. Built during the great depression. There are some great spots to eat and shop and hotels nearby!

My frequent and infrequent trips are so much better having connected highways and bridges to travel over, and also the fantastic Oregon scenery that enables me to enjoy traveling our beautiful Pacific Northwest! Historic bridge with interestibg architecture. After you cross it going into town go to old town to see the lower pirtion of the bridge and stroll through the shops and restaurants.
Always stop here at the Florence, Oregon coast everytime I go visit friends in Springfield and Eugene Oregon. So beautiful. Stopped at Mo's for lunch. These pics are from August 2019.
Beautiful bridge right next to downtown, over the Siuslaw river with a view of the sand dunes. Watching the tides roll in and herons fishing was very calming.
