Second best Christkindlemarket we've been to in the US. The buildings and tents lend themselves well to this purpose. Gluwein, gifts, hot chocolate, German food and Santa! What more could you want? The best we've seen sadly no longer exists--it was at the old Pabst Brewery in Milwaukee with activities inside and out in an historic set of buildings elaborately decorated, with great music, wonderful food and of course, Santa. The new Deer District version is pretty sad in comparison.
Fun to watch the progress of this historic barn! It was lifted and moved onto a new foundation and now as they raise funds will turn it into a state of the art educational facility and banquet room. They do take your donations for the project on site from 9 to 1.
Not a lot to do here, but a couple of old buildings with some history of Door County. The barn has some great old sleighs and carts. If you're in the area it's worth a 20 minute stop.
We went for the Christmas Market and it was fun. Hopefully, once the barn is set it will give more room and allow for more vendors.
A fantastic look at the history and heritage of Sister Bay in Door County. Docent, Susie, was a wealth of information and fun to come back to with questions. Well worth several hours spent.
Love the experience great piece of history. Take the kids for a fun day pack a lunch.
We had another wonderful visit! Weaving and butter making! Friendly, knowledgeable, insightful, and enjoyable!

The breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich were both delicious and piping hot. The pistachio cheesecake was phenomenal. If we had a cooler I'd be bringing home so many other pastries for my family. Maybe next time :)
We first visited the restaurant and bar multiple times before booking a stay at the B&B. Wow what a great experience. Colin and the entire team were so personable each time we came in and during our stay. Incredible attention to detail. Amazing atmos
A nice park, we went frisbee golfing and to kite day, enjoyed both. The frisbee golf course was nice but nothing special, it was a fairly uneventful course.
We've driven past Grasse's so many times for so many years and finally popped in for dinner tonight. A few customers seemed confused and obviously didn't read the sign at the door....pick your own table and then order at the counter. Everyone was sup
We loved our winter stay at The Dörr Hotel! We enjoyed a perfect blend of modern with winter coziness and charm! The location was ideal, the room was spacious and inviting for our family of 4 and the lobby with bar was beautiful and useful. All s
Absolutely gorgeous mini golf course. Small and easy course (par 2) and a single par 3. A lot of water integration and a water jump or two. Plan to spend 45 - 60 minutes to complete all 18 holes with a small party. Cost is about $10 a person.
The perfect place for an afternoon meal. The back patio is shaded and sheltered and the vibe is great for Door County. We ordered the Parmesan Knots for an appetizer and LOVED them. Make sure to ask for Parmesan with your pizza and they bring out a c
Al Johnsonâs was a super fun breakfast dining experience for my family! The Swedish pancakes were delicious, (four in a serving)! We had a beautiful view of Sister Bay from our corner window booth. Our waitress was very efficient and friendly; happ
Fish fry on Fridays. Perch was very good! Enjoyed the whole meal! I didn't realize they have such a large variety on their menu. Something for everyone!
Just a great space overall for the family. It's location is perfect with a walkable distance to Sister Bay downtown, just enough to work off a nice dinner and a couple of drinks. The room was large and we had more than enough from with our little guy
