Sioux Falls KOA Journey - Campground in Sioux Falls - 1401 E Robur Dr, USA

The Sioux Falls KOA is our 127th stop and we stayed for 7 nights. I used the express registration so the time at the front desk was short but the person was quite good – was escorted to my site which is always welcomed. Opted for a patio site and much of the park has very large mature shade trees, especially away from the freeway. Speaking of I-90, it is right next to the park and you will have a lot of road noise but it quiets down some overnight but starts up at 6 am. And the park is right next to a Camping World if you need it but also in an industrial area with a number of tractor trailers on the main road. It is also very convenient to downtown and can be there in 10-15 minutes. The interior roads are all gravel and well-maintained so there is little dust. The site need to be blocked 2 inches front and back to level. Pool was closed but has basketball, pickleball, corn hole, a playground and a decent dog park. Overall would rate it a 4.3 and would stay here again in the future. Connectivity (3:30 pm): T-Mobile 93.9 down/5.73 up; Verizon 399.0 down/36.5 up; Park WiFi 4.65 down/1.56 up but variable during peak times.

Website needs to more clearly indicate seasonal closure. Banner across the top for the location would be more helpful than having to try to make a reservation only to find dates blacked out. Additionally, signage on-site should more clearly indicate closure and not a small sign on the office door tucked amongst a bunch of other postings. Disappointed to see KOA chooses to close completely during off season instead a partial closure or reduced facilities.

Great location! Well maintained KOA. In my opinion it should be a holiday as it’s held to a high standard. Has a pickleball court, pool, dog walk/park, very nice kids playground as well as an excellent CLEAN laundry room AND it’s right next to a camping world incase you need any RV supplies. We enjoyed the location, close to Sioux Falls park and many grocery stores. We travel full time and it was a great spot to re up on groceries and many things we needed. The service we received from all workers was top notch, we would definitely recommend this location and stop by again if coming through SD again.

We stopped for a night only, so convenient off the highway. Welcoming staff, everything spotless with such good care taken of the grounds. We had an RV site with a patio, the furniture, grill, fire pit were so clean we thought we might be the first guests. Bath houses were very clean. The pool again, sparkling clean. Great job to this KOA, we would love to have spent more time there.

Easy to get to. The staff was so warm & welcoming. They offered recommendations for dining & places to see. The facilities are maintained well. My family enjoyed our stay here very much.

I had never stayed at a KOA as they are usually too expensive for me. This was reasonably priced. Staff very friendly. They accommodated my request to be close to showers (I'm in a class b) as it is hard for me to walk long distances and they very happily put me very close to the shower house. Slight freeway noise but very tolerable. I recommend this KOA!

I've stayed here before and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. It's convenient, clean, organized, and very well run. My only complaint is that it's right beside a noisy industrial site with trucks running 24/7. I know the owners have absolutely no control over this, and they go above and beyond in all the areas they control. The bathrooms and clean and well-maintained.

Spotless KOA with attentive, courteous management and maintenance. The showers and bathroom are cleaner than my own. The pool was crystal clear and the grounds were well kept. There is a new ball court, as well as a bags game. This KOA is near the highway, so it is easily accessible for travelers. However, with this, there is some road noise, as can be expected. Thanks for a great stay!
