Sim's Bar-B-Que - Barbecue restaurant in Little Rock - 1307 John Barrow Rd A, USA

Coming from Chicago and relocating here I was very disappointed in the ribs it was more bone then meat I could of did my own ribs at home and had better results!! And I ordered a large tip dinner and this is what I got!! I'm used to the meat falling off the bone these ribs didn't come close to the meat falling off the bone!! November 9th is when I went to this restaurant.

Ordered the ribs, green beans, and baked beans for dinner. Also got a peach fried pie for dessert. Everything was delicious and the service was great!

Sooooo yeah like my brother mentioned Barbecue and Sim's immediately came to mind, I hadn't had anything to eat yet and it was going on 7pm. Made it there, ordered A Rib Dinner dine in. I don't ever eat my entire meal but this time was different because it was all gone, the taste was excellent! My only critique is my top bones were upside down.. Everything else was perfection.

My server was the greatest,happy,excited,enjoyable. The food was not the best. If u can't eat the gristle on your rib tips,they not done or cooked long enough. After I looked at my plate,I had more money (gristle) to throw away,that was in my meal price. Was very disappointed.

Super sad to leave this review because I love sims BBQ. But lately it has been a hit or miss but mostly miss. I usually get the rib plate and the last couple times the ribs haven’t been edible mostly bones with one actual rib. I’m officially done with sims bbq.

Talk about paranoid. This place still offers no dine-in and requires masks. Anyways, let's talk about the Q. I ordered the pork rib plate that comes with 2 sides (I chose potato salad and onion rings) and 2 slices of bread. The sides were fine and the ribs were actually pretty good. They were fairly tender and they give you a large portion for the price. The equivalent of about 6-7 bones. I guess my only complaint is the sauce. It's bit too tangy for me and definitely on the thin side, like not nearly thick enough to stick to the ribs. I think on future visits I will ask for sauceless ribs and just put on my favorite commercial sauce. But some folks may like their house sauce so try it for yourself.

This was a $16 plate of lunch. The sausage was really tasty, although a bit overcooked. The pulled pork was chopped much finer than I expected, but still tasted nice. The portion size was very kind. The beans had a good flavor. The potato salad tasted like it came from a tub and was nothing different than you'll get most other places. The service was FAST and the counter staff were very friendly! I'll definitely go back when I'm in the area and craving BBQ. I want to give their ribs a taste... but it's nothing I'd go out of my way for.

Sims BBQ used to be the place for amazing barbecue wonderful salads and just overall great experience. The place is slipping now. I picked up a salad today and got to my car opened it and was so disappointed. Only half the container had lettuce and salad in it. There was barely any meat and a whole bunch of fake bacon bits. Talk about a way to disappoint my lunch. I remember when salads were the whole plate full of delicious lettuce not just plain Iceberg and there was shredded carrots and onions and croutons and tomatoes and loads of delicious juicy meat. Bring back the old days please cuz this is sad and it's been probably 5 years since I've had a salad from here but I'm in no rush to have another one. Highly sad customer
