This was my fourth time staying at the Simple Lodge. I first stayed in 2020 when it had the previous owners, and the second time, it was Jill and Justin’s first week owning the hostel. It’s been incredible to see how they’re transformed the hostel and created the most warm, homey, and inviting space. Every little detail they’ve added has not gone unnoticed! The private rooms are a perfect way for people to get the privacy of a hotel room with the comfort of a home in the shared space. The dorms are perfect for travelers and backpackers! and it’s dog-friendly! Will keep coming back again and again.
A true delight! Affordable, friendly vibes, located right in town...no complaints! I chose to stay here for a solo birthday trip and would absolutely do that again. Only thing I'd note is staying downstairs, you can hear anyone going up and down the stairs, but they do provide ear plugs if desired. Thank you for being such a great place!
Great place to stay in Salida! The staff are super friendly and welcoming. It was pretty quiet when I was there on a Wednesday night; I was in the upstairs dorm room and only one other person was in there. There were folks in the downstairs room(s), but no sounds traveled between the floors. The bed was comfy and I had plenty of room for my stuff. The decor is bright and eclectic and they also had fantastic paintings from a local artist on display/for sale. Will def stay here again next time I'm in town!
Well it's my second stay here in both a private and a shared room place is clean and fairly quiet. I found the staff to be especially friendly and nice. I'm happy to be here it's cozy and as a transgender woman they treat me with respect. I realize that the owner discriminated against me and they changed rules and kicked me out so I'm changing it to a one-star instead of five it's my understanding that they also punished one or two of the employees because they helped me since I was stuck out in the cold with nowhere to sleep inn near zero degree freezing weather
Absolutely loved our stay at the Simple Lodge & Hostel! It's so charming and welcoming, and in the perfect location for exploring Salida. It was a very chilly weekend, but the hostel remained warm and cozy. The owner, Jill, is simply the BEST. Highly recommend!
One of the coolest places to stay right in town and within walking distance to everything in Salida. Trevor was an awesome contact and Jillian is the hostess with the mostest. I've stayed in hostels all over Europe and this was one of my favourites. Clean bedding and comfortable beds. A nice chill atmosphere and super friendly vibe.
Pros: Fantastic location- walkable to all of downtown. Friendly, attentive staff. Very clean. Good value. Cons: Lack of AC means the upstairs bunk room is uncomfortably warm on hot summer nights.
It was great. clean with thoughtful owner. Lots of places to hang and the most complete hostel kitchen I’ve ever seen. I traveled all over the world staying at hostels, this is on the top ten list.
Wonderful coffee shop! We stopped in with our 2 kids on the way from crested butte to Denver. They kindly made the kids grilled cheeses (off menu!). Coffee was excellent, and a nice selection of books and toys.
A true skate shop, from the moment I walked in I knew I was at the right store. Knowledgeable staff you can't go wrong buying your gear here. I love that you have roller skates and support the local movement You ROCK!!! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SKATE SHOP
The entire staff is fun and super helpful. Also, if thereâs a shoe you want thatâs not carried, Andrew will order it for you to try on! Excellent range of trail running shoes and fuel - ultra runners work here to give you great advice about shoes
What a great fly shop! The owners are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about fishing and rivers, taking time to answer questions and explain river conditions. The retail shop is fantastic, I can always find unique gifts every time I go and the

Much better than going to a coffee shop right in down town. Thereâs lots of space to sit and chill or do some work if you need. We were passing through waiting for our truck to be fixed and this was the perfect spot! They are quick and the coffees
Their food truck passed through grand junction, was absolutely amazing. We got the tenders and the Philly, both fantastic. The tenders had the perfect skin, was amazing with bbq sauce. The Philly was HUGE, had to use fork n knife and was delicious. W

We absolutely loved our stay here. The cabins are beautiful, clean, and smelled good. The bed was so huge and comfy, loved the private hot tub and community area outside the cabin too. It was a perfect romantic getaway for our anniversary. Cannot rec
This is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch places in town. They have delicious waffles and coffee, and I always love to come with friends. The staff are very friendly and it has a cool modern vibe, with fun, tasty twists on typical brunch meals. Wou
