Great little spot with home-cooked food. The bacon 🥓 is a must-have. French toast was just how I like it. Breakfast Menu options were on-point! They don't try to do it all, they do what they do WELL! Will visit again when I come to town.
Good, basic American menu. Prices good, food better. Service varies but reflects experience level of waitress. It's not like tips are going to be huge serving chicken strips. Turnover needs to be expected.
The food was great. I had the fried catfish with real mashed potatoes & green beans. The fish was fried perfectly and seasoned well. The green beans needed a bit more seasoning. I loved the sign at the entry; "Be Kind or Leave." Stop by for lunch. They close at 2p.m.

This this one of the best breakfast/brunch place in town! The chicken fried steak is so good, the chicken strips and fries are to die for! Don't get me started on how good the Texas toast is! 10/10 would recommend at least stopping in for a cup of coffee!
I asked a very rude man serving food if we could go ahead and sit at a dirty table since it was first come seating. He looked back and pointed to some people that just walked in and basically asked if I had cut in front of them. I said, no, we were here and then he said "sure" and I felt it wasn't a very nice "sure." Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The person that brought the food wasn't friendly at all. My husband's "over medium" eggs were not cooked, very runny like over easy. The grits were very runny. I would not go back. We dined at Katie's the next morning and highly recommend going there instead, even if you have to wait for a seat
Great breakfast and service. Biscuits and gravy were fantastic, my kid loved his pancakes. Large portions, high quality bacon. Give it a try.
