Simon Parrilla Bar and Grill - Colombian restaurant in Orlando - 1187 Florida Mall Ave, USA

Went to this restaurant with my wife and the recommendation of a Colombian friend that lives in Orlando. The portions were very generous with the meat platter. It’s enough to honestly feed a family of four easily. The drinks were good and the food quality was excellent. The waitress was very happy and nice and we definitely felt like we were appreciated being at this restaurant. Very recommended place. Also it doubles as a Latin nightclub on weekend nights.

We’ve eaten here several times. The food, ambience, and service are A+. Fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. I highly recommend this Orlando gem. Gabriel was an exceptional server.

Wow, SOOOOOOOOOOO glad we stumbled on to this restaurant, and what a discovery experience this was!! Atmosphere? Uh, eclectic, fun, colorful, and homey feel. Service? Sweet, friendly, and attentive! Food? Whoa...!! There were just absolutely nothing that we didn't like. Our Fav had to be the Empanadas. We ate the 4 that came with the appetizers, AND, had to order another 4 for the road. Yes, it was THAT good!! Main entrees, we had 1 lunch house special combo of sautéed steak bits & onions, chicken soup, salad, rice & beans! Cleaned it!! Wife had the grilled chicken breast combo plate. Large portion, took half to go for later 👍👌

When I first walked in I was a little put off that there is an armed guard with a hand held metal detector 🤦🏻‍♀️. The Music and atmosphere at first was good, but when they started the Karaoke it got OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD!!! So loud you cannot hold a conversation with the person across the table from you and could not enjoy our meal because we could not stand how loud it was. I mentioned it to the waitress and she replied that it was not the first time that it was mentioned and the management did not seem to care to change its current level of noise. ***Caution ⚠️ if you have loved ones with sensory issues for this is not a place to come unless they are equipped with headphones. We had the empanadas which were the highlight of the evening well made and crunchy. We had the Picada for two. Lots of food for the price and plenty to eat for the next two days. The steak was not grilled or seared as it is traditionally prepared and my daughter found the chicken to be too salty for her taste. The beans tasted burnt :( I am usually not this critical in my reviews and I wish I would have seen the reviews before I went. It is safe to say that I will probably just zip in and out for the empanadas but that’s it!

This is a great place that serves authentic style Colombian food, I went during lunch time, the food tasted very good. I also had a Mango juice which was tasty also. The atmosphere was very nice as they played salsa music on the speakers. The waitres and manager came over a few times to check on us. I will definitely go back again.

Alicia was the best server for our group of 20 people! We were seated with no problem, our order was taken quickly and brought out with no mistakes. Food was super fresh and the drinks were delicious. We came to celebrate a birthday on a late Thursday night with no reservation and we had a blast dancing! Great music for all to enjoy. It was great to make amazing memories here! ✨️

This is a really nice, clean restaurant with awesome decor. The menu is excellent, the only thing missing is bunuelos and pan de bono! I sat at the bar for lunch and the restaurant was surprisingly empty!!! I can say Orlando doesn't know what it is missing if you haven't visited this place yet!!! This is on my list of one of the best places that I have eaten at, not only because of the food, but the service from staff and management as well as the atmosphere!!! All the food was good. It had that sabor you expect and crave from Colombian food, even the aji (salsa picante) had that perfect kick. The food was excellent, I enjoyed every bite and believe I over ate, but still wanted more!!! Check out their website for information on bands, dj's, and karaoke. Quality food is Served here. It is not a hyped up restaurant like many started to say. There a few really good restaurant around, this one is one of them, so come here and enjoy cause they know what they cook and do. One hint, make sure you ask exactly what and how you want your food. The only reason I am giving 4 is because the service need more experience. I can tell who’s new and if they are experienced. They have karaoke and live bands. It’s a great Latin place to go to if you are by Florida mall. Plenty of Seatings, in and outdoor is available and it seems they have wifi too. Parking might be minimum at weekends, but there is a plaza next door with plenty of space. Will comeback to upgrade to a 5 stars cause it a great restaurant.
