We intended to stay at Silverado for 4 weeks and extended to 6 weeks because we enjoyed our stay so much. Lots to do, great people, clean and well managed. Jeannie was wonderful and accommodating. We will return to stay again in the future. Only negative for me was no picnic tables at individual sites.
I stayed for 5 days and it is a very nice clean place with a good pool.
We have stayed at this RV Resort 3 winters. We were looking forward to our 4th stay. The park itself is nice and the people were friendly. Only issue is the utilities are not located in a good spot so it is somewhat difficult to hook up sewer and water. The manager does a good job. The problem we experienced was with the new management company. We reserved our spot on a month to month basis. We paid the rental fee for December that was listed on the MAR Properties website. Approximately $660.00 a month. We discussed that we would be staying until the end of March. Due to their cancellation policy, we did not want to pay the entire 4 months.
If you cancel within 10 days they keep the entire rent not just the deposit. You never know when an emergency may occur so renters beware. December 29, 2023 we called MAR to pay for January. Imagine our complete shock when we were told it would $1358.00 + utilities!! We thought that was a huge mistake. We called 3 different times and were told the same thing. I went to the office and the manager said she had just received an email that morning with the new rates. No heads up when we first booked, no explanation to the park manager or anything. We were told we could sign a lease and the amount would be less. However, there is a $200.00 nonrefundable application fee for each occupant. It is peak season here in AZ and every RV park is full except for Silverado. No wonder! We finally were able to find a very nice park who graciously put us up in their temporary site area due to our situation. It is a better experience and the site is perfect. We feel we were blindsided by MAR Properties. They knew they were going to raise the rates long before November when we booked. We will never stay at another MAR property and we will never recommend them.
Silverados Office Manager is a very good Park Manager who is friendly, cheerful, helpful, kind and always attentative to the issues in the park, constantly staying on top of everything. As far as he park upkeep, there are issues that need better attention such as lighting near the showers/restrooms (lights are constantly out & dark in area), constant pea gravel in the streets, water line failures to water park trees & dumpsters are overloaded. The Activities Director & those helping do a terrific job in the clubhouse making sure everyone is welcome, having a good time and there is fun for everyone. Plenty of stores nearby for essential needs and a wide variety of places to visit to have fun & entertainment. There is never a dull moment here and in the surrounding communities.
We enjoy staying at this RV resort. The manager, Jeanne is very personable and a pleasure to deal with. She is takes her job seriously and makes sure everything is running smoothly.
A good amount of various activities and friendly residents.
We like the location, not too close to a major city but not too far either. Good scenery too.
This is a very clean and well maintained park offering pool, hot tub, gym, pickleball, rec room and laundry.
However, the sites are designed for motorhomes not trailers or fifth wheels. The water is located in the center of the site so it prevents you from going back. The sewer hookup is tough to reach with a 20 ft hose.
During our stay there were two instances where trailers hit the water pipe at the rear of their lot and caused flooding damage, which resulted in the whole park's water being shut off.
The park is working to remedy the following two issues, the front gate has no pedestrian exit access and the pool and hot tub were closed due to mechanical issues.
Have been here two months and everyone is very friendly. Jeanne was the first person we met and has been very helpful with explaining the amenities and making us feel welcome. We plan on returning every other six months.
Beautifully managed resort park. There are daytime and evening activities available for all. Jeanne L, park manager, is always available to assist and respond to needs. Highly recommended for long-term and winter stays.
Great stay!!
This quaint RV campground is primarily full-time spaces that are VERY well maintained and spaces for overnight RV travelers. The management and residents are all so welcoming.
Would definitely stop there again!!
We stopped here on our way from Phoenix to Tucson based on the reviews; we are from the eastern US, and Iâve been dying to try a Sonoran hot dog. Hot Dogs Alvarado did not disappoint. My husband and I agree that this is the best hot dog we have eve
Great place to grab a lunch! Full of interesting personalities (these people jump out of perfectly good airplanes!), clean tables, and reasonable prices!
Place was awesome! Staff was friendly and seated us right away. Food was amazing... we're used to getting two, maybe three tiny shrimp in our seafood dishes....had just the right amount and the price was on point!!! Absolutely recommend this place!!!
Restaurant is located inside of Love Travel Stop. Service was very good and the food was good. There is plenty of seating and there is nice music playing. We stopped for fuel, and our Grandkids were hungry.
