Though I did not stay here my children and I took an unplanned day trip to Hampton beach, the owner let us park here for the day for a very small and reasonable fee. He showed my kids his pet seagull and allowed us to swim in the pool before heading home when that section of the beach closed off at 4:30 for fireworks. Just off this experience I would stay there next time we visit. He was kind and helpful as we had never been to hampton before.

If there was an option to give no star I would! If you are thinking of staying here, DON’T DO IT! Not only is the owner a miserable grumpy old man but he hates families that are happy. The room we stayed in smelt like mold and to boot the window in the bathroom leaked and my son slipped and hit his head on toilet. In addition it soaked all the toilet paper and he refused to give us any amenities so had to use public bathroom. Could not use the pool bc owner was always cleaning it and claims it is “heated and better than the Ashworth.” That’s a lie! I must say the only good thing about the motel was the owners daughter who very kind and embarrassed by her father. She admits her father is miserable. After talking with the daughter and her talking to her dad about the bathroom incident they agreed to move our room and give extra night stay. The following day the owner screamed at us calling us liars and took away the extra night. We kindly told him that this motel is health hazard and already made plans with my son. He called the police and forced us to leave. The officer was really nice but unfortunately law in NH says owner has right and his daughter was not the owner. I sincerely feel bad for her bc this guy really ruined a family vacation this at was much needed after the passing of my mother in law. As I leave the parking lot my son is crushed and his eyes filled with tears. Nice job guy! Made a child cry, hope u feel good about yourself. Moral of the story is clear, DON’T STAY HERE! Worst experience ever!!!

My husband and I went away with his sister and her husband. The rooms were rented to us as two adjoining rooms. Each costing $125.00 a night. When we got there, we were alloted one parking space and had to pay alot of money to park our second car for the w/end. There was one bathroom in our room. Each time the in-laws needed to use the facilities they had to walk through our room, morning, noon and night. There was one air conditioner and when we asked for a fan we were told one air conditioner per room. Yet the rooms were rented to us as two rooms. Found the owner a little unreasonable. Everywhere you turned there he was. When a couple came in looking for a brochure he said "are you collecting them"? The towels were small and thin. You could not see the ocean as we were told over the phone unless you invaded someone elses deck space. Glass sliders did not close and lock easily. If you went on the deck you could see that the curtains covering the sliders had been wet not just ours but many others. We were told on the phone there were king and queen beds, sure looked like fulls to me.

I would have to say I have a mixed review for this place. The person who took our reservation over the phone was very nice. When we got there it was too early for check in but they let us park in the parking lot (which is very small) and use the pool and an empty room to change in. The rooms were very clean and the bedding was clean. Everything was very dated however. It had cable tv and they gave us a microwave to use and there was a mini fridge. Less than a block from the beach. The beds were fairly comfortable but the curtains and lampshade were mildewed. Use caution with the nightstand between the beds! I thought it was a stand and tried to move it out to plug something in and it broke right off the wall and fell on my foot. My foot is not broken but is extremely bruised. The owner seemed skeptical of how it fell, insinuating that I must of put something "very heavy" on it. ||The pool was very nice and we got clean towels daily. We stayed two days. It was also quiet at night. There was an A/C unit that worked fairly well even though it was also quite old. I would not say it was worth the $178 a night but I guess in this area it is the going rate.

My family and I needed a place to stay and I randomly chose this hotel...It had available rooms for our timeframe, and was in the area we wanted to be. The man at the desk who I presumed to be the owner gave rave reviews about the pool and the cleanliness of the rooms. He even took out a sample of the pool floor from a drawer to show me how they have it redone every year! (I thought that was weird.)||||Our room certainly was the cleanest room I've ever encountered at Hampton Beach. It was clean, but there was nothing there! It had a bed and tv, a bathroom, and a mini fridge. There was no microwave, or deck which was really disappointing. It had a view of the building next door. It was on the third floor and there were a million stairs to climb with a super-hot hallway every day with my toddler son and all our beach gear, stroller, etc. It got old fast. ||||There was a tub and shower, but not enough towels (two for a family of three!). I had to keep asking for more. The shower would get really hot then really cold. It was impossible to take a relaxing shower! ||||My husband was commuting to and from work during the week we stayed at this hotel. The hotel only had parking spaces for half its guests!!! My husband had to leave his car keys at the desk, while one of the staff jockeyed cars around, every day in the morning and at night. It was very annoying and we did not like someone else moving our car around.||||Overall, this hotel served its purpose. It gave us a clean place to sleep for the days we needed. It was beyond overpriced, and I would never stay there again.

Called this motel and was told by the owner (Arthur i believe was his name) there was availability and that a room would be held for us at a certain price, however when we arrived Arthur told us that the price would be $30 higher because of the demand. At this point there was no availability elsewhere so we had to pay the money or drive back home with 4 disappointed kids, so we stayed. The room had a terrible odor. The furniture was lawn furniture and basically falling apart. When the view from the room is the old burned down Tower Pizza lot. ||Save your time/$/and personal hygiene and don't stay at this hotel!

Saw a vacancy sign on this hotel while we were walking around the Seafood Festival 2 days ago. No other place had a vacancy so we stopped to inquire. The man behind the desk said he had rooms. " Do you want a clean room?" he asked. What kind of question is that we thought!! He quoted a price of $225 for for two people. I noticed a sign near the desk that said payment is due upfront! I've stayed in many many hotels and never paid upfront!! We said we'd think about it and left. We came back in a short while and asked if he had a king room? No, just full or queen. I asked how much and this time he said $275. I then asked to see the room first. He said, " It is clean, you will like it!" He wouldn't let us see it so we left. After reading the reviews posted here, we are so happy we did NOT stay in this place. There's a reason why this was the ONLY hotel with vacancies on this very busy weekend! Buyer beware.

The janitor/desk person is very persuasive. Tells you how they send out their sheets for cleaning instead of just washing and how they have the best property with ocean view even though it's not on the ocean, it's the best deal around. The Ocean view was looking inbetween to buildings if you walk down the shared bacony in front of someone elses room. The room was clean although very sparce except the slider to the bacony didn't lock that well and any one could walk right in if you can't get it to lock. No phone are available either. And the price $240! |Then next night we stayed right on the beach for a grand total of $100 at the Puritan|

This was the best thing we did on vacation this summer. We went in early September and had a one on one with Ellen. She was fabulous and so so so knowledgeable. My partner and I were so incredibly impressed with all the up close animal interactions,
