Great view but that’s about it. No a/c or any form of shade to beat the heat. Like someone else said, rooms are very dated and slightly musty. Many different generations of our group have been coming here for years and each year the experience becomes gradually worse. They don’t seem to like larger groups of friends/families. They should just turn it into a 55 and older location with all of the rules and restrictions they come up with. I’d recommend somewhere else if you want to be coool in the summer and have fun.
Location is the most redeemable part of staying here. In general, rooms are dated, worn, musty and minimal. Appliances are old, fridge was visibly rusty on the outside. No blankets on bed (only sheets), no towels, no wifi, no ac. Shower didn't have a shower head. Our room had carpet nails sticking through the floor, and could have used more curtains to keep the sun out while we slept. In general, one step above camping, barely a motel.
Great location right on the lake! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful, clean pool! Rooms are immaculate and have everything you need. A lot of family's have been coming for generations! Would definitely recommend!
Amazing stay! Visited last year and stayed in a cottage right on the beach. Great amenities at this location. Rooms were spotless, extra pillows in the closets, staff was friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend. Pool is crystal clear, beautiful blue, extremely clean! Sand on the beach is raked every morning, lovely beachfront. Will definitely attend again
Ok so, there are pros and cons to this place, but unfortunately for us the con is too important so we will not be back.||||Pros: room is very clean, good staff ready to remake your room early if you want, big pool also taken care of, water is clean but doesn’t stink of chlorine. The rooms are right on the lake which is warm and has a great beach area thats kept up well and has umbrella tables and chairs available. The motel is right across the street from the concert pavilion so no need to pay for parking - just walk over. We brought a small grill and put it outside our patio for burgers and hot dogs. This was all perfect.||||Cons: No Air Conditioning! Rooms are supplied with oscillating fans. We completely boiled in the room the first night and baked in it the next day. There was no way to escape from the heat. Even tho you have the pool and lake, the sun is still on top of you. The rooms are a heat box in the summer. So, because of the discomfort with that one thing, we wont be back. If you are able to withstand the heat like that, then the rest of the motel is really pretty great. Its just not our thing.
I mean, it's a motel. It's super conveniently located for a concert venue. On the lake. They have a pool. But the rooms don't have A/C. That being said. We'd probably stay again if going to a concert.
Very very poor service. Family has been going there for over 30 years and they haven’t updated a single piece of furniture. Very hard to communicate with and the female front desk ladies are extremely rude. The same flower sheets have been there since the 1980’s which is quite gross. If you were to book you’ll know what I mean. Bugs in every room we’ve ever stayed in. Horribly ran and the owner doesn’t put any money into the place. If you have any decency in you, I recommend never giving this place an opportunity. Go to Misty Harbor next door, beautiful place!
I don't quite know what I was expecting. This particular marina had been suggested to me by a family friend who stays during the motor cycle stuff in Laconia in June... So I decided to give it a shot.||First off, the room looked as if it hadn't been updated in at least 40 years. I was clean but don't go looking for anything modern. Rooms come with a sliding patio door which will lead either to the pool or right out on the beach depending on what room you booked (along with chairs on your concrete patio).||There is no air conditioning and it does get hot in the middle of summer. The room comes with a fan but you can't move it since there aren't many outlets. You basically can't have the lights, tv and fan running at the same time if you have a phone plugged in. There was also no wifi available.||The pool is clean and relatively large. The beach is nice and provides chairs so that you don't have to lug your own around. While I did not have a boat, it appears like it is simple enough to launch. ||We were told that people only got 1 parking spot per room so if you are meeting up at the motel to share a room with a friend, make sure you only have 1 car.||Staff was friendly enough and willing to give out as many towels as you required. ||There is a little strip mall with a restaurant within walking distance but you will need to drive around for anything else.||Overall it was fine but I don't know if I would spend more than a weekend.
Gun stock has always been one of my favorite mountains. Very user friendly with many different types of terrait's easy to get to from just about anywhere. Ticket prices are through the roof everywhere, but gunstalk seems to be. A bit lower than a de
Such a pretty beach! We went on a weekday and the beach was well groomed and not busy at all. There's a nice, good size playground for the kids. Bathrooms are well maintained and outhouses available if after hours. I need to frequent this state park
Holy cow this park is beautiful! One of the highlights of the area. The view is just breathtaking. Pictures only give a taste but certainly don't do it justice.
Decided to come here for lunch. Docked the boat right in front of the restaurant. The place has a great atmosphere and offers a variety of sandwiches. Canât beat a view on the water. Service was great!
I ordered the pork belly sandwich and it was
Friendly service, the food tasted great. The salad was fresh. Good portions. The restaurant itself was super clean and welcoming. I will most definitely be back.
