Silver River Adobe Inn - Featured Reviews (23)
We had a memorable experience with Diane and David at their wonderful bed and breakfast on the San Juan and Animas rivers. It was a perfect place to rest and recharge while enjoying the local sights. Diane's breakfasts were delectable, and we found it hard to tear ourselves away from the ambiance and conversation in their dining room with its view of cottonwoods and flowing water. We stayed in the Cottonwood Room, and it was spacious and comfortable. Everything is immaculately clean. The bed and bedding were excellent.|Farmington has the amenities of a small city and is close to the Aztec Ruins Monument and the Salmon Ruins. It is also one of the closer locations with access to Chaco Canyon. Silver Rivers Adobe is on the periphery of development, but has a remote feel. Our hosts are people we would love to continue to know.
What a fantastic tucked away haven! Right beside the river with access to the bank, rustic rooms with unique interiors, and a lovely host couple that were very fun to chat with! Diana and David were very welcoming and accommodating, providing breakfast in the morning in their lovely kitchen but also willing to let you have your space if needed. ||I enjoyed going to the river in the morning, and the bedding was very cozy and comfortable. I’ve already told my friends and family about this place, and I will definitely be returning the next time I’m passing through Farmington!
Secluded, unique place on a shore of SanJuan river, in 6 min drive to restaurants and shops of Main Street. Nice and friendly owners, delicious breakfast. You can take your dinner, or just a beer, on a shore of river, in apricot grove, in a company of owners' dog...
When I first arrived, very tired from the road, my first thought was - wish I could stay here longer. The tasteful simplicity and tranquil energy spoke of a love for the earth. As I talked to the warm, intelligent hosts this was confirmed and I enjoyed discussing our shared interests. Sitting outside by the river with their dog while I enjoyed a drink and unwound was perfect. The room was spotlessly clean and well appointed with everything needed and more. Best of all the room was dark and quiet with a comfortable bed for a good deep sleep. I hope to return.
What a pleasant surprise! More rustic than we anticipated, but we were perfectly happy without a television. The room was very clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Coffee was wonderul, I enjoyed the breakfast, as did my husband (though he should have asked for syrup). Totally enjoyed talking with our hosts who are very knowledgeable about the area. Great dining recommendation, and look forward to using their shopping recommendations when we come back here. I do agree about the difficulty finding the. Inn: use the information on the website, not your gps
What an utterly delightful place. I’m so lucky to have found this really special accommodation above the bend of the river in Farmington. Even though Silver River Adobe Inn is near the highway, you wouldn’t know it. It’s tucked away down below into a private area, screened from noise or visual ugliness. Such a little sanctuary. My little cottage suite could not have been more perfect. And I love their taste, Hosts Diana and David were wonderful. And if you’re lucky, you might get to see their goats. Wi-Fi needs a little tending but other than that it’s an absolutely fabulous fabulous place. I hope to return.
I've been meaning to write this review because Diana and David are so wonderful and my stay was perfect. David welcomed me when I arrived, gave me a tour/run down of my room, chatted poetry with me, and gave me a good dinner recommendation. The room was cozy, the amenities exceeded my expectations, and Diana brought me a delicious breakfast and coffee in the morning. I didn't want to leave, and I know I'll be back the next chance I get for a mini vacation or writing retreat.
We loved the chairs and table overlooking the river. The room had a large bathroom and all the windows looked out over the river. Diane brought amazing coffee in the morning that she placed on our outdoor patio with a delicious healthy breakfast. She even left coffee early for us the next morning when we had to leave. We were close to town to be able to walk the Riverwalk and not far from the Kirtland Golf Course. My only suggestion would be to make the entry sign off the highway more noticeable. We had a hard time finding that, even with GPS. We would definitely return!
