This lodge is an amazing place to stay! Located in a convenient location close to many cute cafes and restaurants, everything is accessible here. The cabin I stayed in was really beautiful and came equipped with everything you may need. Stay was also really nice and I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to find a place in Idyllwild. :)
We stayed at the Carlson, for the 10th time in 10 years! We come up every summer and absolutely love the place. The deck and hot tub are everything! The staff of the lodge are always so very kind and helpful too! Thank you for everything, and see you again soon! If the owner decides to sell the cabin, please notify me and consider us to buy. We adore the place so very much.
All the staff are very, very friendly and so welcoming! The rooms are so quaint and cozy; you feel right at home. I love that I can bring my dog along, Which he got a lot of love from the staff. I have been coming here for years; I always recommend to people to stay here when they come to Idyllwild.
Over the years, we have stayed in many different rooms or cabins. They are great! Dog friendly and easy to walk around town. They are a great destination for getting away from the city. I especially enjoyed the Mama Bear cabin in the trees. It has a bright kitchen, and cozy fireplace. Highly recommend.
I have been coming to this establishment for 15 years, when it was run by Chris & her family, before the ownership changed. It was great to meet the new owners. Nevertheless, here are the facts; 1. There was a lot of bird poop all over the seats on our deck. 2. The table on our deck was cracked and broken, non-functional furniture. 3. Upon arrival in the cabin room, The coffee cups still had coffee in them from the previous guests. This was disturbing- because what else had not been cleaned before my arrival? 4. A lot of ants around the rim of the jacuzzi tub 5. WiFi was weak & unsecured network 6. Sheets, pillow covers, and blankets were not washed and smelled These are the facts of my stay. They are meant to provide constructive feedback, also for the owner to know that cleanliness matters, it is essential in hospitality and I felt like these ppl must just think us "tourists" are chumps- Why else would you treat your guests like this when we come to your town? I found it very insulting to pay for that type of service.
We stayed 2 nights at the lodge on 2 different nights while hiking the PCT. Both rooms were very nice and the price is absolutely great for a California mountain town. If you are a PCT hiker you should not be staying anywhere else until the silver pine lodge and bunkhouse are fully booked. Raj will make your stay worth it just give him a chance.
This was the perfect place to rest and recharge for us PCT hikers. Raj is so nice and accommodating, and just a joy to talk with. They had our room ready hours early so we could check in. WiFi was great, rooms and rest of lodge were charming, and the location was close enough to everything in town that we could walk. A great stay!
Quiet and cozy location. 5 minute walk to the main part of town. Bird watching from the porch but the frogs' symphony at night was a little intense during the night lol Our room was great, stocked with all that we needed. Could use thicker pillows tho 🙃

Great breakfast burrito, I was expecting to pay a lot more for the food. When I got my total, I was surprised at how affordable the food is. There was a wait for the lunch menu, since so many locals buy food from here. Nice and quiet atmosphere. G

Great little Mexican restaurant just outside of town on the way to the mountains. Food was good. Salsa was great. Service was excellent. Iâll be back next time, hopefully soon!
The food is great in this tiny restaurant. The preparations are excellent, and the flavors are fresh and enticing, a step up from most restaurants of this type. The chips are freshly prepared, the salsas are good, and the self-serve salsa bar makes i
Great place to eat hearty food in a relaxed setting. I had their chili. I loved it, it was chunky, spicy, and flavorful. The service was great. It's right on the main road leading in and out of town so easy to spot from the road. Parking can be a bi
Excellent freshly prepared food. Nice music. Friendly dogs that will entertain while the owner prepares your meal. My husband had the chicken tiki Marsala and I had the lamb shank both of which were excellent. The owner provided us with a delicious k
