Silver Dollar Resorts - Campground in Odessa - 12515 Silver Dollar Dr, USA

This was our second visit to Silver Dollar. We stayed at an RV site last year as well and enjoyed it so much we went back. The golf courses and driving range are great, Husband and kids enjoyed it. The pool is nice and relaxing. The food at the club house is good and convenient when golfing. Most of the RV sites are shaded which is great. There seem to be some community events that happen, but it is hard to find the details of it. There is a small dog park but it doesn't have shade so we don't linger too long other than letting pup take care of business and get the wiggles out.

This is the second time I have stayed here, and I know I will stay again. The entire staff has been overwhelmingly friendly. The restaurant has always served great food at really reasonable prices. It's always been hot and fresh every time I've ordered it.

This is a great RV resort if you are into golf and/or trap shooting. Facilities including bathrooms are not that great compared to most Encore/Thousand Trail resorts noting bath/shower area is shared by a restaurant and golf club.. There is a charge for cable, pool is a considerable distance from RV sites and most of the facility is comprised of full-time or seasonal residens living in manufacutred homes.

This park is pretty nice, but I have to be honest. I booked this reservation through Thousand Trails, and as some know, had to pay a +$20/day premium for staying here. This site did not include sewer, and only had 30a electric, which my rig cannot use. On top of that, the site is so cramped that we are LITERALLY 4 inches away from our neighbor's awning on one side, and cannot possibly extend our own awning on the other. We were also assigned a spot down wind of the trash compactor, and would often smell it. The location of the park itself is also too remote. You have to drive at least 30 minutes to get to anything like food or shopping... I understand that there is golf here, but that's nothing special for me. The park is nice enough that I would possibly return, but only if all the other Encores like Holiday Travel and Winter Quarter Pasco are full. It doesn't make sense to pay more to get less. The golf is not a caveat for me.

The short drive is beautiful, rural area, white fences, an alpaca fsrm || and deer. The resort was well kept including the sites and restrooms and shower. We enjoyed riding our ebikes through their quiet streets.

Excellent place to stay in the Tampa area. Silver Dollar is a beautiful resort and everyone I met was incredibly welcoming. I really enjoyed having the bar and restaurant onsite - it was very convenient and great to meet other people.

Smallest camping spot we have ever stayed in! All grass because or rain was a soggy mess. No picnic table spot so small couldn’t even open our awning. Sewage area around the corner from the camping area not ideal. Only good thing about this place is the front desk ladies and the location being close to Tampa Airport. I had early flight out and the goal was to stay close and this was an option that come up, but definitely NOT even close to being worth $75 a night.

Ask them why they do not tell 100% disabled Military veteran families with Dogs about the trap shooting (50 people with shotguns) contest 7 days a week. If you suffer from PTSD stay away! And why would they offer a partial full refund? They never returned the phone call.
