We had an absolutely lovely stay at this little Durango gem. We travel with our two dogs and it was pup friendly and a perfect location for them too. The motel has been recently renovated with lots of character and nicely appointed rooms. The rooms themselves were super clean, beds cozy and had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The motel has tons a cute little details and feels as though it was very thoughtfully curated. They have a nice outdoor seating area to grill, sip your morning coffee or even just hang and get some fresh air. There are bikes available for rental as well and a beautiful river path just across the street. Staff was very friendly and owners gave us some awesome recs for our stay in town. We will be back :) thanks again Siesta!
Such a great little family-owned motel! Ignore the older photos with dark, dreary interiors, everything is freshly remodeled and so fun! The rooms are somewhat minimalistic yet very comfy. The bed slept great, nice and firm but not too much so. I loved the small fridge with a good-sized freezer. We’d been traveling for several days and the freezer was a blessing. They have a little room with an ice machine and a bottle filler—also appreciated! The bathroom was lovely with a huge sink. The shower was on the smaller size but the tiling was beautiful and water pressure was nice. If I was to make any suggestions, it would be nice to have a little hook for the hand towel because this klutz kept dropping it. Beautiful grounds, nice quiet location. I highly recommend!! (Sorry my photos are as we checked out)
Hannah, Dan, and April are awesome hosts! Absolutely love the vibe! You all have accomplished a lot and it just going to get better and better!
The hospitality was a highlight... we had lots of questions everyday and their suggestions and directions were excellent! And we always got an answer with smile!
Our room was clean and had a cool retro vibe with all of the conveniences of today! The beds were comfy. My friend is 6’5”and the shower head was high enough so he did not have bend down to get wet! In the morning we enjoyed sitting at the tables on the grass to start our days!
I would recommend stay The Fiesta Motel to anyone!
Good job!
We enjoyed our stay at The Siesta very much. The rooms were simple, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. It was a fun retro throwback to staying in a motel as opposed to the usual cookie cutter chains.
The owners are super friendly and very visible on the property. Love that.
Loved this place! Would definitely come again. Stayed here with my wife and two friends while on tour. Check in was easy. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean. It also just had a fantastic vibe/feel. We loved staying here for an entire week while we were in Durango. Our room had a kitchenette which came in handy. We also loved hanging out in the fun gazebo too. We even wrote a song about it. You can tell a lot of care goes into this place. Great service. Thanks for an awesome stay!
Adorable, locally-owned gem. Rooms were cute and clean with a throwback vibe. Location is on the trolley line and within walking distance of the Animas River Trail, the grocery store, and some local restaurants and coffee shops. They also have bikes for guests to use. The staff was friendly and helpful and made the stay a joy. Would definitely stay here again. If you stay, say hello to Camp, the chocolate lab that greets guests in the office. He likes belly rubs!
I stayed overnight at the Siesta Motel while on business delivering a shuttle bus in Durango. I had a great experience staying there. The host Dan and Hannah were so helpful, answering my questions. When I arrived, I found the same with their staff.
I so appreciate what they are doing with the Motel. My room was clean and very comfortable. I love how my room was remodeled and decorated and the shower was supplied with soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The bed and bedding were also very nice, comfortable and supporting. I also loved the center courtyard. I really enjoyed my stay at the Siesta Motel! I would not hesitate to stay there again.
As I read some of the other reviews, I get the same sense from other guests. I really felt welcomed and appreciated. Dan and Hannah thank you and your staff for making my stay at the Siesta Motel so nice.
The most beautiful motel I’ve ever seen! The owners, Hannah and Dan, have put their blood, sweat and tears into this labor of love. Even their precious daughters had input on the final touches.
I highly recommend this 1950s roadside motel to fit all of your family needs! Comfy beds, great water pressure, incredibly clean, fresh flowers, and retro vibes! Walking distance to restaurants and the trolley stop is conveniently next door. Put your feet up after a day of mountain biking and hiking by listening to the music and enjoying a beverage in the Cactus Club! 5/5 Stars!!!
