This place never fails to amaze me! I visited here multiple times just before sunset and were amazed at the sheer beauty and ethereal experience in the vast open space of this Vista. The drive up and return is very much enjoyable- overlooking beautiful farms, a lake, animals and lovely cottages is an experience in itself. The fresh cool air hits you in the face so warm clothes would be recommended. One gets great views of the adjoining Bay area and the countryside and the pictures of sunset are absolutely stunning. Limited parking available at the Vista top and they don’t let you park on the street for more than 15-20 mins. We never got lucky to find a parking spot there. This is a must visit place if you are in the Bay Area. You will v much love this place if you are nature enthusiasts!!
My first time here and it’s an amazing experience! Park officers are very organized and helpful. No parking fee… It’s moderately steep on my way to vista staging area so be careful… The hike itself is nice and the views are really wonderful. A lot of people are now here for sunset watching!
One of the best places to see sunrise and sunset. These photos are from morning. Evenings are usually pretty busy. This place also have some good hikings spots too. Important: 1. Parking is limited. So spots are on a first come first serve basis. 2. No restroom available on the top. 3. It's usually colder on the top. So keep additional layers just in case.
Gorgeous. Underrated and stunning sunset spot in the South Bay. Great view of the Bay Area and Silicon Valley. There a lot of flies in the summertime though, but a spectacular experience nonetheless.
Shorter drive to the beautiful view at the high top to see the scenic beauty of San Jose. Kids will love this Vista point. They have a good trails. We saw Lamas while going down the other side of the mountain.
Great place for a short and easy hike and sweeping view of the bay. A very beautiful sunset on almost all afternoons. Hiking to the left of the entrance can be terrifying for people who are afraid of heights as the passage narrows with basically a deep cliff on your right. Hike to the right is more chill across mostly wide hills with sometimes lots of cows around. Parking lot can be very crowded at sunset time, and no stopping on the road up is allowed so plan carefully and arrive early.
This open space Sierra Vista drive in evening is picturesque sight seeing of lovely scattering of colours at horizon. Bay Area below down looks so awesome. Road, hilly landscape, grassy beside and trees add to mesmerising effect to the memorable evening shots for nature photography enthusiasts.
I was there at the time of sunset. The view was stunning at that time. Plenty hike options from parking lot.

My son - 12yo junior hockey player, joined VSS 2 months ago with his team mateâs recommendation. The goal was to improve the strength and speed on the ice, and I already see his progress, that proves the efficiency and effectiveness of this program
This place is such a gem! The food is incredible, atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The pepperoni flatbread with hot honey is really something else. And after a couple visits, honestly I could say the same about everything else we've tried. The owner

Great new discovery for us in San Jose downtown, as a lot of our favorite places disappeared after their pandemic. Amazing variety of cheeses and wines with unique and savory accompaniments, like marinated pine cone jam. Very nice and attentive servi
