After a long day of hiking at Acadia National Park, we found this wonderful spot to unwind and relax. It had come highly recommended, and we decided to have dinner here. What impressed us right away was their user-friendly website, offering online reservations and a wait-list feature that kept us informed. We only had to wait about 20-25 minutes before our table was ready. For our main courses, we opted for the Lobster Feast and Lost Lobster, which included clam chowder and lobster bisque. While the food was good, it didn't quite reach the level of excellence. However, what truly stole the show was the blueberry pie with ice cream. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the next day solely for another slice of pie. Without a doubt, this place serves the best blueberry pie in Bar Harbor, having tried a few others. We wholeheartedly recommend indulging in their delectable blueberry pie. IG: journey_man16
This was our first time here. Bar Harbor was a hopping place and we did the online wait list, started at #44 and our wait ended up being 40 minutes. The process was easy, and now the food part.... wait for it.... food was awesome. The service was also exceptional, from the hist, to our waitress to the food runners. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Excellent and quick service. The waitress even mentioned the price of the specials. I got the chicken caprese salad and substituted it with shrimp they did not even charge me extra for the shrimp! The fries were well seasoned and the calm chowder was thick and delicious. The blueberry margarita was strong and tasty. My husband got the burger it came with chips and a lot of avocado. The burger was okay but the rest was very good.
Great spot for dinner and drinks. The lobsters rolls are full of luscious meat and served chilled. Their margaritas are good and they offer a variety of flavors; mango, blueberry and more. They have plenty of seating indoor and out. The bar is also a great place to pull up a seat and have some drinks/food. Checkout their happy hour specials!
We got the sweet potatoes fries which were hot, crispy and salted well, although cut way too small. The honey mustard served with the fries was seriously incredible! My boyfriend got the Cowboy Mac and he said it was good. I got the lobster roll with a side salad instead of chips. I think $40 for a lobster roll was extremely expensive for what it was. It was served on a thin slice of plain white grocery store bread. It would have been nice if it was on a brioche bun for that price. It has butter on it but no mayo. It was slightly soggy and falling apart by the end. I will say though, they do put a GENEROUS amount of lobster meat in there, so that contributes to the price. Overall, I’ve had a better lobster price at a better price in Boston, but this place is pretty good.
I took my family to Side Street Cafe in Bar Harbor. We had an awesome time there. This place is great for kids. They gave my girls Play-Doh to play with while we waited for our food. It kept them entertained while we enjoyed the atmosphere. The food at Side Street Cafe was fantastic! We tried the haddock tacos. The fish was soft and tasted great. I also tried a spicy margarita. It was the best one I've ever had! It was spicy but not too hot, and it tasted great with the tacos. So, if you're in Bar Harbor, you should visit Side Street Cafe. It's a fun place for families, and the food is great. Try the tacos and the spicy margarita!
Wanted so badly to love you, Side Street. Sadly the food was average and the service was below average. With all the options available in Bar Harbor, sorry to say, the official recommendation here is: SKIP it. Probably more like a 4.2. THE GOOD: -the shrimp salad was excellent with really tasty dressing. -The lobster bisque base was also outstanding (and gluten free!), though the lobster chunks tasted fishy. -The BLT wrap was okay. THE BAD - The lobster here was just okay. Feels like a bit of a tourist trap. The lobster mac was very average, but a little bland. You need to cook the noodles with salty water. THE UGLY: -Our server never refilled our waters. - One of our salads came without the dressing and we had to wait to get it. -Our chocolate cake with berry compote came sans compote. And when we asked for the berries he simply said they were out, but then still charged us full price. - After our dinner we waited 20 mins before the check.
Had my 1st Lobster roll here and I got hooked (fisherman humor). What a great find. Do yourself a favor and get off the main drag and go to the Side Street Cafe. Nice wait staff, good amount of seating, and excellent food. Crab dip was so good that I forgot to take a pic before eating half of it..
The innkeeper Chris was so warm and intentional and present, making us feel welcome. He also stayed up personally make sure we could get in very late at night, helped us plan around the marathon so we still had a stellar couple days. We stayed in Oct

Very homey and comfortable with a great breakfast. Stayed three nights and had a different breakfast each day. They have a hot water machine in the dining room and a comfortable living room to hang out in. Parking was large enough for a large jeep.
Visited in the off season, stunning easy flat walk, while not paved it is for the most part accessible and hazard free. For folks that like to climb on rocks atleast during our visit we where able to climb around on the rocks during lower tide

No farm there! Just stone beaches, but very nice and quiet, except for the flat, black stones that make this rumbling sound when the waves pull them back out to sea.
