One of the best lattes I ever had, the atmosphere, it's great. I absolutely love the plants and so many Richmond souvenirs. We had the Oreo cake, the Belle Island cake and a pie (can't remember the name) it was so good. There was a line the entire time!
The new Shyndigz market has opened across or catty corner from its old location next to fancy biscuit. The biggest improvement is now there’s a coffee bar and places to eat your desserts inside in the heat and a cozy location. You can also has a really cool back room window where you can see them decorating the cakes, it’s a very spacious location with a lot of cool shopping with a lot of Richmond items!
The new market is such a beautiful upgrade! So aesthetically pleasing and all the same great offerings, looking like even more now! Best cake in Richmond, possibly the world.
Such an amazing spot. I love the decor, the flowers and just the concept it self. I got the fruit cake, it was oh so delicious, reminded me that it was summer with the berries and cream flavors. I would say the full tier is a large portion, I couldn’t finish it! The patio area is so nice to sit and enjoy your delicious pastries. Next door there is a southern food spot with famous biscuits. Loved my visit.
I have bever been there when there isn't a line. I was picking up 4 cakes for a wedding. While in line, i noticed all kinds of gifts to pick up if you wanted to make a basket. They also have a packaged food cooler section. I bought pimento cheese and bagel crisps.
This was my first time visiting. Parking was great as there is street parking and a small lot on the backside of the building. When we arrived there wasn’t a wait but we must have bought the crowd because shortly thereafter the line was out of the door. I had a slice of vanilla confetti cake and my husband had a slice of coconut with 2 bottles of water. The slices are extremely large in size so it is shareable or you can save some for later which is what we both did. I don’t think my cake is a fan favorite because my slice was frozen whereas my husband’s coconut was fresh. My cake was also on the dryer side and my icing was rather thick. However the coconut cake was fresh and the icing was very smooth and not too heavy. Overall I do recommend and would try again but I’d love to try red velvet if that’s an option when we go back (it wasn’t the day we went). The customer service was superb and I absolutely loved the sitting area in the back.
My wife and I came here for a late brunch! The food and atmosphere were outstanding! Service was prompt and attentive. An altogether wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a cultured vibe that seems to resonate with all ages. We will be returning.
The new market is adorable and has a lot of very unique gifts. We came in the morning for coffee (very good!) and something breakfast-y but there was nothing available (we weren't in the mood for cake at 10 am). On the way out, I purchased a bag of coffee at the coffee bar instead of the dessert line (that was quite long). Be aware that you are automatically charged a 15% tip unless you change it. Don't know if that's the case in the dessert line or not.
