Room was spacious, there was a nice double sink in the bathroom. The mattress was new and comfortable. The room was quiet, and fairly clean. However the toilet seat was broken, and there were dust bunnies under the sink area. One of the chairs looked like it needed to be vacuumed. Things that are good to know but didn't really affect my score. The complimentary breakfast was VERY salty. I don't know if I would bother with it next time. The elevator is very slow. It took multiple tries to get working keys. I would have preferred a table I could eat on over a sitting area. The room had a fridge and microwave, but only the desk was comfortable to eat at in a room that was designed for 2 people.

We have been to this hotel several times over the last couple of years. We like the look and feel. We love its location with the nice view. The front desk manager Krista is super helpful. Whenever there was a problem in the room they solved it quickly. So that would be a 5. However there are also a couple of issues that stop us from coming again. There is always something with the room. 2 years ago the toilet barely flushed. This time it is the ancient shower head which cannot be moved. And a nail sticking out that hurt my husbands foot. Maintenance came by to fix that. So the room is a 3-4 We stayed 2 nights and the room was not cleaned after the first night. We were not informed that rooms were only cleaned upon on request. I saw a hanger on a doorknob of another room requesting cleanup but there was no hanger at all in my room. Housecleaning seems to be inconsistent. Some of the front desk staff does not seem to care for customers at all. I had to ask for an extra blanket 3 times yesterday. There was no coffee with breakfast this morning. The explanation of the person at the front desk was that the filter was broken and we should just have coffee in our room and by the way breakfast is free so there was no obligation on their part -????? Breakfast is included, not free, and no attempt seemed to be made to provide coffee another way… So service is a 2 And by the way. The pool is either closed or “will be remodeled” (according to the website winter of 2024 but it is still the same old funky pool…)

Shutters Hotel is not a five-star property. The front desk staff are friendly and attentive to guest needs. The overall room cleanliness is satisfactory. However, there was quite a bit of trash left in the room from the previous guest. Attention to detail from housekeeping is lacking. The continental breakfast is being run by a separate business and their staff were all in the back not paying attention to the guests waiting to be served. Be prepared to wait for service. Confusingly, the hotel runs the coffee in the morning and did not have any cups out for guests. It is little things like this which damage the value of Shutters. This is more of a place where contractors stay than a nice hotel.

We stayed here on our way to visit our son in Utah. The room was great. the bed super comfortable. Breakfast was Horrible! The man behind the counter served us. We had no choice, he gave us all 3 items Potatoes Dried out, Eggs over cooked and dried out and bacon. That was the only decent thing we ate. We loved the bed so much that we decided to stay here on our way home. Big mistake! First off we checked in with a nice lady at the counter and were unloading the car, and I remembered I needed something at the store down the street. I left and he went upstairs…. Then he went downstairs to wait for me to come back. He was walking around the lobby area and looked in the bar area. No bartender! It’s Saturday Night. They advertise a burger place. It is Close too. Again it is Saturday night and no services for the guests are open. There’s a man behind the counter and he started harassing my husband for waiting for me. He was just looking around for services and there were none. He threatened to kick him out of the hotel and out the door. My husband told him “I have a room upstairs”. The desk “mean man” didn’t believe him and told him If you don’t leave I’m going to kick you out of here. So he went upstairs. I get back from the store and come in with my bags and he’s staring at me like I’m doing something wrong. I found that weird until I got upstairs and heard what happened. My husband went back downstairs to make peace. Hubby came back in the room dissatisfied and said I’m never staying here again. The man at the desk needs reprimanded or fired. I will Never stay here again.

Very spacious and well-appointed room. Beautiful lobby and outdoor patio with a mountainous view. Excellent breakfast buffet included. Optional evening gourmet burgers and micro brewery available. 42+ tv. Removed from city traffic. Great stay.

The girl who checked me in was very polite. And gave me a bottom floor room. I was very tired. So this morning I noticed the cleanliness of the room. 5 out of 10. It wasn't vacuumed it had spill stains on the desk. The toilet was not cleaned. The shower had hair all over the walls. The breakfast was decent. I appreciate real eggs and bacon instead of imitation eggs and bacon. I don't usually do reviews. So hopefully if I choose to stay again it will be better. Thanks

Positive: Friendly staff, nice room. Breakfast was fine. Negative: Was not informed that our room would not be cleaned for multi night stay unless we requested. Our room was directly across from the maintenance room, the door of that room remained open at all times, so that was our view upon opening our door.

I had the king suite 3rd floor west side facing. For Miners and Contractors!No black out to the windows. Very hard to sleep once the sun comes up! Even on the darkside. Expect trash on the floor hallways!Expect to wait in a long line for food and the server keeps a sign up saying they will return soon. They offered cereal but I like all the kids were all disappointed that there is no milk available and just an excuse that someone is going to buy some.Breakfast is not good food and they have to serve you. What you get.. (x eggs over seasoned with pepper!x bacon was decent!x dried out potatoes had no flavor and tasted like cardboard!) And the lady who was supposed to serve made all of us wait while she was on break. Some just left with the promise from the front counter guy(always with a head set on and looking at his phone)..she will be back soon. All the breakfast is bland. Pool/ hot tub room is a mess and no one there to clean. If you have a lounge chair or sofa in your room.. those are horrible to sit on! They are hard cushions and no comfort! We actually had to sit on the bed and desk chair for any way to sit. Now if you expect to sleep in and have a dark room. Again..Please you have another thing coming. I even paid for the king suite! Light shines in around all the blind. There is no sleeping in! Sorry weary and tired travelers.. this level of light is unacceptable and in May..that light comes in early. First impressions..clean and nice but then you start to really notice the rest. As a veteran I was sad that it was iffy on check in if there is a discount. I'd ask and see what they can offer online vs at the counter. They have a pool..hot tub..gym..parking is good and close to the freeway and lots of food options.
