Shrimp Basket - Seafood restaurant in Pensacola - 709 N Navy Blvd, USA

I feel as though this is a great place to eat, but they need to work on the food. I love the service and the hospitality, but the fried food is overly oily like it hasn't been rested for the oil to drip. The firecracker fries were literally amazing. The best thing on the menu that we've tried. This was only our second time and we decided to go with something not fried. We got the seafood boil and had high hopes. But the shrimp and crab were overcooked and the sausage was very skinny and tiny, but had okay flavor. The seafood boil sat in a deep pan of water that had not flavor. It tasted like they just boiled the crab in water and poured the boiling water in the serving tray. The garlic was overkill, but I could barely taste it because of how watered down the food was. Couldn't slide the meat out of the crab shell because it was so overcooked that it was stuck together. It was very much not satisfying and I took the rest of the shrimp, corn, and sausage home without the water and seasoned it. Much better but still overcooked and hard to peel. Our group of 5 stopped in for a late lunch. The restaurant appeared clean and well maintained, and bathrooms were also clean. We were seated quickly, and the service was prompt and friendly. Food arrived in a timely manner and was hot, well cooked, and tasty. The only negative from the group was the coleslaw...too much mayo. Besides that, everyone enjoyed their meals. Would definitely go back again when in the area.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Shrimp Basket! From the time we walked in the door until we left the customer service was excellent. We were greeted immediately when we came in. Kylie was an excellent server! She was so friendly, funny and professional. She anticipated our questions and needs before we ever had to ask. We both ordered the AYCE fried fish. The food arrived quickly. I was happily surprised! I got the fries and coleslaw. The plate also came with hush puppies and a corn nugget. The French fries were hot, fresh and seasoned perfectly. The hush puppies and corn nuggets were hot and delicious. Their coleslaw is a treat! It was mayo based, and also had shrimp in the coleslaw. The fish was wonderful! It was freshly cooked, hot and perfectly battered and seasoned. The tartar sauce and hot sauce were both yummy! There was another server working at the time, and I noticed she was also very friendly and cared about her customers. They both had smiles on, and were very welcoming. The manager and owners are doing a great job! I could tell they cared about their restaurant and customers. It was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. Thank you to the Shrimp Basket crew for your hard work! We will definitely be back, and I would highly recommend this location to anyone in the area.

Courtney and everyone at this shrimp basket are wonderful! We had such great friendly service and the food was delicious!!! We loved sitting out on the patio. Our food was so fresh and was served hot off of the grill. Courtney was such a wonderful waitress, we ordered all you could eat shrimp and she stayed so busy, never had to wait on anything, she was fantastic!!

Wow! The horseradish at this place is FIRE and so was our waitress, Donna! She was hustling with a smile the whole time we were here!! The oysters were fresh shucked and delicious. I had the shrimp tacos blackened and oh so good! Hubby and kiddo had the combo fried baskets (oysters, shrimp, catfish and stuffed crab) everything was fries just right! Grilling, steaming, frying or none of the above The Shrimp Basket has ya covered! Clean, kid friendly, got the jams on and great staff! Thank you!

Alec was the best server that I have had in a long time. And he orchestrated his shift very smoothly. If you come to shrimp basket, hope for him as your server or bartender.

A wonderful dining experience! This location is THE BEST Shrimp Basket in Pensacola. The food was fresh and hot! Our server, Kaitlyn P., was very attentive to our requests and had such a sweet spirit about her! Highly recommended!

So glad this place had a turn over the last group of waitresses was very lazy and did nothing but stand around on the cell phone while customers sat the entire meal with no refills and no reorders. The crew the have now is very respectful and treat you like family and will check on you over and over again.
