Great smokehouse / BBQ joint. Food was hot the smoke and smell hits you as soon as you walk in. The pulled pork was very tender and juicy. The brisket was decent. Definitely get a loaded baked potato you wone regret it. They give you corn bread as soon as you sit down. The sweet tea is a must as well. This place has been around for years and they are good at what they do. Will definitely be going back!

I consider this to be quite a find. I love a great Barbecue! Although my Ribs were not fall off the bone the way I like them, they were still delicious. The Beans are to die for and the Coleslaw was very good. Attentive staff and a nice ambiance. I wish Toledo was closer to where I live! I want to go again and have the pulled pork next time.

Delicious! Great food and authentic BBQ. Salad was huge and baked beans were sweet and sassy! Very quick service!

My wife and I both had the chicken tenders and we requested the fries extra crispy. I also ordered the fried onion strings, my wife ordered mac-n-cheese. The fries were exceptionally crispy and my wife said the mac-n-cheese was great. Five stars for both items 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 And our server, Forrest was the best! Forrest was very attentive and friendly.

Pretty annoyed with Shortys. As one of the people that helped as a cook open this place when it first opened I'm disappointed. Today I ordered take out, ordered and Ultimate Feat and a Feast for 2. Was told it would take 25 minutes. Not bad, showed up 30 minutes after ordering and was told it wasnt ready. I looked over and saw 3 bags on a table, one of which looked big enough to contain all my food. They checked and said that it wasn't ours. 20 minutes went by and they realized it was ours. They gave me the bag and said sorry about your wait. I was a little ticked off. Then when I get home I open my food this is what I see. Keep in mind they advertise that the ultimate is 2x the food of the feast for 2. The one with less brisket was in my ultimate feast. Sad to see what this place is becoming.

My first time going & I don't see myself going again. I had the baked potato brisket. Way over baked. They skin was so tough you couldn't chew it. Nor tear it or cut it with a knife. The brisket was very fatty & lots of grissle. My daughter & son had the same problem with their meat. The cornbread was very dry as well. The place was clean, atmosphere was nice, staff was friendly, just food was not that good.

We visited from Wisconsin. Food was great and customer service was outstanding. I do recommend the beef ribs. They were sooo good. Will come back one day again.

Passed by this place many times and finally made it here. Glad we gave this place a try. Good food with most hits and just a couple misses and good service. We ordered a little bit of everything. We tried the sausage plate for appetizer. It included cubes of cheese and pepperochini. The sausage looked and tasted a bit like it was cooked on a grill with too much char on it. I ordered the perch platter. The fish was tasty, but I expected meatier fish. My husband ordered the sliders and loaded potato. Both dishes were very good. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful and just right amount of sweetness from the sauce. The potato was a meal in itself and worth trying again. We've been back a couple times now and the food is better and better.
