Shore Point Motel - Motel in Point Pleasant Beach - 205 Broadway, USA

I have absolutely no idea how this place has 4.3 stars on Google. We checked in and our room smelled of urine in the bedroom part and was old, run down, and in general just gross. We went to the front desk and asked for a refund as we didn't even want to stay there since it was so disgusting. They denied a refund and let us switch rooms. The next room was not much better. It smelled moldy with cheap air freshener trying to cover it up. I pulled down the blanket on the bed right when we checked in and there was a long dark hair on the sheets and a stain on the sheets. There was also dark long hair on multiple towels. I felt so disgusted right from check in. We asked for a change of sheets and towels but by that time, the housekeeping staff was gone so they gave us a new set of sheets and towels. These 'fresh' towels also had hair on a few of them. I don't know how they do laundry here but this is just unacceptable. My husband killed a cockroach and we're scared to bring our suitcases inside our house due to fear that we have more lingering in our suitcases. I definitely believe the other reviewer commenting about bed bugs even though we didn't see any. There is nothing cute or charming about this place. Everything is old and dated, DIRTY, and falling apart. We will never stay at this motel again and I absolutely would NOT recommend it to anyone else. It was horrible and disgusting.

Great motel! Very clean and great location. Walking distance to many attractions - and a 7-11. The owners are very kind and welcoming. They made wonderful recommendations for local restaurants. Nice pool, well maintained. We will definitely be back!!

We love Shore Point!! Our go to place to stay in Point Pleasant. Clean, recently updated rooms. Friendly staff. Easy check in/check out. So close to the beach!! Pizza and subs next door and our favorite breakfast place, I'm A Local Cafe, is also within walking distance!

We just stayed here and couldn’t be happier. From the front desk to the rooms everything was on point. The room was super clean and everyone was extremely kind. We would love to come back. It was a great experiences

Cute little place with friendly staff. Pizza shop about 20 steps from every front door. Beach not too far and out back are neat clam and fishing boats that dock and unload every day and night so you can watch that and listen to the seagulls. It's calming. Also a seafood restaurant out back. Everything you need with surprising serenity.

Just perfect enough to enjoy your stay for the local area and many eateries to with delicious foods.

My family and I really enjoyed staying here. Staff is friendly the rooms are clean. We would get a room with 2 beds 1 for our 6 yr old daughter and another for my fiance and I. Although I understand inflation has gone up and all but charging nearly $500 (including taxes and fees) for a room is outrageous . Especially when we weren't going to check in until 11pm Friday night and wanted to stay until Sunday (checkout being at 11). So we basically would have been paying $500 for a room for MAYBE 30 hours is crazy. I was very upset because my family and I have been here many times and we always enjoyed our stay. Hopefully after labor day the prices will start to drop.
