Beautiful apartment and fantastic location. Walking distance from all your main shops and food. The host is amazing and would quickly when we had questions. It’s a five bedroom two full bath loft apartment. There is plenty of parking in the back by the stairs to the door which was nice.
The shopkeepers apartment was perfect for our girls weekend! Everyone had enough space to not feel crowded in and having 2 full bathrooms was perfect. We drank coffee, provided by the owner, on the porch and watch the town wake up. Everything is within walking distance. We would love to repeat this weekend!
We went on a girls trip. We loved the place. It’s so quiet inside. I loved the wrought iron bed.. We all loved sitting out on the balcony listening to the music next door. The beds were so comfortable. You just melted into them.
We were visiting Fredericksburg as a group of 6 (grandparents, parents, 2 kids 11 & 8). After luxury hotels in Austin and San Antonio, this was still a step up in style, space, and luxury. The apartment is the entire upstairs of a beautiful stand alone historic looking stone building that houses a lovely art gallery on the first floor. There is designated parking in the back, which comes in very handy. Spring break in Fredericksburg was so busy. This is right in the middle of the action, in art district near restaurants and shops, right next to road to enchanted rock (worth a visit). This apartment is a great value for groups and each room is very comfortable an had luxurious bedding and down pillows. It is an old building with unfinished floors so wear shoes. The front deck is lovely to sit on and rock. Kitchen and baths are beautiful and modern and the German rock walls are incredible. She provides eye masks and ear plugs if you are sensitive sleepers due to road noise. There are glass windows above every door which are original and do let in some light if others are up and you are asleep so the masks are handy. WiFi is easy to use. The place is furnished with lovely antiques so may not be best for very small kids. There is bit of a tall staircase in the rear outside of building to get to door so not suitable if you are not able to climb easily up and down. This was a real pleasure to stay at Shopkeeper’s Inn and we were all continuously thrilled with the choice. No better value in area for a group wanting high end stay!
A group of 5 women stayed here for a big birthday celebration and we loved it. All of the rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are so comfy. The living area was comfy for us, but only seats about 6 without pulling other chairs into the space. It worked perfectly for us. There was a very small kitchen which was fine for us since we ate out. There is only a bar with stools for dining. Two nice size bathrooms and each had two sinks which was great. Tons of towels with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is also a lovely little patio on the ground floor with nice furniture and a fire pit with wood. There is also a nice balcony on the front with rocking chairs, but since it is on Main Street (i.e. 290), it is heavily trafficked and very loud during working hours. We weren't able to use the outside spaces because of the cold and rain, but hope to go back next year. We were able to walk to dinner and breakfast places and there was a little shop next door where you could get snacks, water, milk etc. The little shop downstairs seems to be closed. The windows were papered over and we never saw anyone there. There is plenty of parking in the back. Just a couple of notes: there is a bar next door and you could hear the music in the house, but it didn't go late and didn't disturb us and secondly the stairs to the unit are pretty steep so not for those with physical limitations. We absolutely loved the place to the point that sometimes we didn't want to leave and as I mentioned, we are planning another trip next year.
Lovely rustic place in the serene town of Fredricksburg. The house does definitely give the vibe of olden age German culture, with modern appliances and a fully equipped house.
What a cute boutique AirBnB! My friends and I stayed here for my bachelorette and it was perfect to walk around Main Street and to enjoy a relaxing girls’ weekend!
