Shoney's - American restaurant in Johnson City - 2120 N Roan St, USA

Honestly, I was totally blown away by the amazing buffet! They have a vast variety of fresh choice food, which was excellent, freshly cooked, crispy, and tasty! I went on a Tuesday, which is a special day for seniors...it only $8.99 for buffet!! THATS AWESOME!!! I got lucky and was there at 10:40 am, which meant I got eat both the breakfast and lunch buffet!!! The service,food, and the restaurant are top-notch!!! 10 STARS🌟 !!!

Back in the day, I remember that place used to be packed. But with so many other restaurants, I'm sure it's hard to keep them all packed on a daily basis Today we went around mid afternoon, and even though the selection wasn't great, it was good and warm. Waitress was very nice.

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS!!! Best thing 1st....waitress was nice & food ordered from the kitchen was good. NOW....the food on the food bar that was suppose to be hot was COLD. We informed the waitress, she informed the "manager" on duty. He checked the the food on the bar, confirmed that it was cold, supposedly had the food changed out. Mom went for another plate.....the food was still cold, the dessert that should be cold was warm!! Once again we informed the waitress that the fresh "hot" food on the bar wasn't hot. Not a single time did the "manager" come to our table to apologize or acknowledge our presence. The restaurant was not busy & the "manager" was meandering around the restaurant at random. We were not charged for the hot bar meal but it FALLS WAAAY SHORT from being acceptable. Needless to say we will not be returning & we will be telling anyone who will listen about how horrible & disrespectful we were treated at THIS Shoney's.

I like it. Good people, clean place, good food, other than my bacon being a bit too done imo, all else was perfectly fine.

Immediately irritated the front desk lady because she had to put her phone down. No eye contact she shows us our table and walked away, dropping the menus on the table. Then right back to her chair and phone. I was within sight and watched her do this 3 more times. I would have rated things better, but suffered later that day with intestinal distress, and I won't be back.

My father-in-law took my husband and I out for breakfast at 9am. I hadn't been there in years. I figured there wouldn't be many options and it would be on the low end, as breakfast would be winding down soon. Well, it was the total opposite. The staff were amazing, the food was fresh and hot. They were still restocking the bar, as things were running out, and the whole bar, down to the salad, was fresh and good. Will definitely go back.

Great service! Pancakes, eggs, and toast to order if you get the buffet, great benefit for picky eaters. Food was all excellent, of paid much more for the same quality at other restaurants. Waitress was very nice and courteous has were all other staff at the restaurant.

I came in there for breakfast all you can eat buffet. I ate plenty there to fuel up for the day and I enjoyed the service and the company from the ladies that served me. I want to say thank you to the beautiful ladies that served me every time I came in and look forward to seeing them again when I relocate to live there.
