Shiro's Sushi - Featured Reviews (2095)
We had the omakasa experience, it was delicious and accommodating since I dislike uni, they substituted for Alaskan salmon. The green tea and ginger was free and generously filled all service. The first few courses were great, the later courses had more flavor, very creative and well thought out menu.
One of the best Sushi experiences I’ve had anywhere. Consistently Amazing. Servers take the time to explain the intricacies of each course. Fish is perfectly seasoned and melts in your mouth. Not a place that focuses on gimmicks, instead, you’re presented with fresh excellent sushi each time.
This place is amazing! If you want the original Japanese style sushi you must go to Shiro's Sushi. The sushi melts in your mouth. That's how delicious it was. I recommend the Che's Choice Sushi Course. Excellent customer service!
First things first, this is a heavy hit on your wallet, so you should be prepared for that if you’re thinking of dining here. After tax and tip(20%), the chef counter omakase dinner for 2 people with a bottle of sake and 2 desserts came out to about 450$. They do table service with a nigiri dinner that starts at 85/p but of course this is also not cheap by any means. I’d recommend a reservation, though I think it’s required for the omakase. With that out of the way, we saved for it and it was a special occasion dinner that we felt was absolutely worth the price and would go again. The host greeted up kindly and acknowledged the special occasion, hung our coats and seated up at the sushi bar. It’s structured, but not upright. All the staff were polite and attentive, giving you a classy feeling without being too overwhelming. If you’re unfamiliar with a wide range of sushi or omakase culture, not to worry because the chefs will guide you through the whole experience in a way that makes it an enjoyable feature of the night. Providing history and education on the fish, and where they come from. They were all very charismatic and charming. It might not be your cup of tea if you have high-end omakase often, but for us it was very welcome. The chef also adjusted the way my sushi was served because I am left handed, which was a nice touch. The food was great. Fresh, delicious. Best uni I’ve had in my life. Presented beautifully and paced well. I truly can’t say enough, but being willing to spend that much on it again says plenty I am sure. All in all, if you can afford it, like fish, and want a delicious cultural experience that is classy but not stuck up, Shiro’s was a beautiful dinner we won’t forget.
I made a reservation and had the $85 omakase and it was amazing! Staff was friendly and provided high level details about each plate. If you want to add appetizers, desserts and/or more from the chefs course, you are able to order from the a la carte menu. I highly recommend this place!
Came in for Table dining, and was pleasantly surprised :) really good quality experience. The hojicha panna cotta is extremely good, which I think you can only try if you're at the Table dining and not the Omakase at the sushi bar. I wish that Shiro would've used a bit more local ingredients. While it was still really good to have a variety of fish from around the world, fresh local ingredients near the sea are also just as appealing for me but maybe there's more to it that I don't understand. If you're looking for quality food at a quality restaurant, definitely give Shiro a try!
This is typically a 150$ per person dinner, probably more like 200$ at the bar, so 4 stars seems to appropriately reflect my impressions given the context. I have not tried any of the even more expensive famous other sushi places in Seattle, but this one provides fantastic quality of good in a pleasant (but not perfect) atmosphere, serves by a great waiting staff. The courses in the set dinner (the only option the table) were well composed, the waiters found a good balance between competently informing about each nigiri, while also not going overboard with explanations. The drinks menu is pretty much limited to sake, wine and beer, and there are some additional dishes that can be ordered to complement the dinner (I had the clam miso and an ikura nigiri). The experience at the bar seems the more interesting option (no places were left on the day I wanted to eat there), which brings me to the biggest drawback of the place. As much as I enjoy minimalism, and I do, the restaurant has a type of barebones furnishing of a mid-low quality that is not uncommon in the US, but to me as a European seems to not go together with the quality of the rest of the experience. This is only a minor downside for me, but it’s hard to understand why no more effort is made to make the tables and floor look a little less like canteen in the 1970s. Again, this will not be visible if you are sitting at the bar. Long story short: I would go again but would make sure I get the bar experience.
The was our first time experiencing a 19-piece nigiri tasting menu and it was incredible. The set menu was very carefully constructed and the quality of the night was exceptional. The real wasabi was a very nice touch as well! We were thrilled with this experience and will definitely be back.
One of the best omakase experiences I've ever had. Chef really knows his fish, and lovingly takes diners on a journey on the fish, how it was chosen, aged and prepared. Watching him prepare and plate the fish was also a real treat. It's rather hypnot
Umi Sake House is my go-to sushi spot in Seattle. It stands up to all the big names and the fish here is delicious. While they do have lots of nigiri and sashimi options to choose from, to me this place is best known for all their amazing signature r
Wonderful rolls and dishes, cozy atmosphere and an amazing staff that was trying really hard to be nice to our 15 month old. He just was too shy and was unhappy. But they were extremely nice !!
My burrito was fantastic - big portion of fresh fish. My husband's poke bowl was great too. Not overloaded with rice, like it has good ingredient ratios. The guy working there was super nice. Also you can't beat the prices, especially downtown.
I really love the experience here at Shred 415. The instructors and the front desk staff are one of the most friendliest people ever. Not only will you get a great workout, the amenities are really awesome compared other workout facilities. If you d

The food was delicious. We tried the Chacarero and the Veggie sandwich, it was really tasty, the bread is homemade and the sauces as well. While living in the US for a couple of years this is the first time we found a Chilean restaurant with deliciou
