Park has two parts. Smaller one is easier to reach from Belt if you ride from Coney Island. Bigger one harder to walk around and very limited parking space. No shades if you are here in the middle of a hot sunny day. Be aware that just a few small trees there and picnic tables with umbrellas can be limited. It's great for someone who loves bikes
Super pretty and very well kept, with amazing views of the NYC and Downtown Brooklyn skyline. Great park to jog or take a light hike.
for those nature lovers who like to ride a bike, walk, run or just spend time with the family. This is a great place, I just wish there were more trees 🌳
My new favorite place. I visited during the middle of the day on a Tuesday so the park was quiet. Excellent place to bike or run. I’d be curious to return in the summer on a weekend but for now I’d definitely recommend getting out there if you want a quiet and reflective space in the city.
It's a really clean park. Would definitely return to do more biking. It has a nice paved bike path with gentle ups/down going around the entire perimeter of the park. Some parts are narrow and can only fit 2 bikes side by side. There are some rocky trails that can be avoided, it's not meant for kids. This park has two sections with two separate entrances and parking areas. The smaller side has an active pier with people fishing/crabbing. Riders/hikers can pass alongside the bike path next to the belt parkway to move between the two sections. You technically leave the park and re-enter. There's no open grass area so there's nowhere to run around or fly a kite. Warning signs around the park advise visitors to stay on trail since there are ticks everywhere. Ample the picnic tables with umbrellas around the park. Lots of porter potties, so there's a good chance you'll find a clean one if you're early. I wish they had running water instead of pumps. During low tide, you can climb down the shoreline to explore and pick up shells if you don't mind the squishy floor.
For starters my pictures dont do this place justice. I love this park. It is so peaceful. The opening to Jamaica Bay is serene. This is an ideal place to meditate, take in nature while walk/jogging, or just sitting by the rocks and listen to the waves crashing. They also have bike giveaways periodically for children. This is the best thing that has happened to Brooklyn in a long time.
The most quiet park in NYC. Perfect place for long walks or riding your bike. If you forget your bike they rent bikes for free. They don’t allow pets, alcohol or bbq. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the nice views or to run/bike. The bike paths are either roads or gravel. There are a lot of toilets and resting areas. Bring your own food and water!
Just want to said this’s a beautiful park to walk or ride your bike, very clean the views are so amazing, & your way you can see bunnies, lizards, Falcons, seagulls, & more beautiful animals, just make sure you bring enough water.

Breathtaking views of the city. It wasn't too crowded but it was a weekday. I suggest a light lunch in the parc or on the benches along the river to take in the amazing view !
This place is such a hidden gem at night, I accidentally came here after dinner and went for a jog. The view to manhattan was superb and the houses along the river are stunning. Worth a visit
