2024-01-29: This morning, when I visited, the tide was extremely low, the temperature was 50 degrees, and breezy. The dock at the boat ramp was destroyed by the latest hurricane to go through. The first five photos were taken 2023-04-20. The rest were taken this morning. The trail at the West end of the parking lot leads to the beach. As you can see in one of my photos, there is a section of water that interrupts the path. Since I had boots on and it was extremely low tide, I was able to cross.
2023-04-20, Thursday: This place isn't anything spectacular, but it is quiet, and you have a view of the gulf. There is a boat ramp for smaller boats, a short trail that leads toward the gulf, and a unisex place to answer the call of nature. These photos aren't any different than what others are posting, but I am trying to be a little more detailed of places I visit.
It’s pretty but not for little kids. The trail leads to the beach . The sand is mostly like mud .. there are some nice parts. Wear shoes as the shells cut into your feet. Nothing pretty looking shell wise . More a place for boats to go off
People weren’t kidding when they said this place was a hidden gem! Beautiful white sand with really interesting driftwood displayed all long the beach. It’s really off the beaten path, but it’s worth the drive if you’re looking for a peaceful and private day at the beach. You can soak up some sun or go fishing! There was a lot of shells in the water so it was hard to swim without hurting your feet, but there were a few spots where you could get into the water if you looked for them.
Very peaceful place. Saw a few other people there, but mostly had the place to myself (on a Tuesday evening). Great natural setting of the marshlands with a semi-flooded trail leading to the beach. Lots of crabs scurrying about the beach! Overall just a nice place to relax, and only one random gunshot that made me duck my head!
What a beautiful 😍 hike fairly easy is most places with moderate in a few because of sand and driftwood. Parking is limited so get there early the stunning views on the Gulf of Mexico and lack of crowds make this hidden gem worth it!
I love this place. Good fishing and good connection with God there
Wow. What a beautiful place. I hate to leave a 5 star review as more people will come here, but this place should be known. It felt like we were on a deserted island while walking the beach and waiting for the sunset. A warm summer day would be great for swimming.
We always have a nice and private experience. You may see some folks but that's florida. Fishing is popular here. There is a long beach for full sun, and a small trove of trees that give partial shade in the AM. Plenty of spots for tree hammocks if you walk far enough. It's only a few hundred yards walk to the water, and a few hundred more to the shell point to the north. Enjoy it! No fires or camping but it's a great quiet beach to relax on.
Dolphins, plenty of fish, crabs, oysters and you'll see some deer if you're sneaky enough.
P.s. still love this quiet place.

Horseshoe Beach is a perfect little place to come and take a quite walk under some amazing houses on stilts. We had our pups along for a visit to the park in which they do allow. The atmosphere in the small town kinda buzzes even in the winter. Weath
We had an awesome time with Capt Brent! He provided everything we needed and helped us to learn new fishing skills. He was great to hang out with for the day and a safe & capable captain. Coming home with a cooler full of cleaned trout was great! I w
