Ship Creek Overlook Park - Wildlife park in Anchorage - 302 E Whitney Rd, USA

Nice little park on the river offering a loop to walk and a scenic area. There is a sign educating folks on the ship creek enhancement project and the history of ship creek. I can see why it is an attraction in the summer as the salmon run would be cool to watch. Not much to see early spring.

If you get there at the right time, you can see so many fish! It was a quick stop. Parking fills up fast, but nice to see to say you did.

Loved the scenery, kids and I enjoyed a nice bike ride. Couple of bridge crossings too. Look forward to catching some fish here next year when salmon are in season.

I was able to seeing salmons and touching them! Nice views along the trail and definitely worth a morning walk there.

Just checking. Scouting for a fishing trip. I heard it was packed but not now. I think the tide was on it's way out. The dam will be a good place to watch when they start running.

Husband loves to fish here, I take the kids as well to get out the house and run around. Bathrooms always clean and you get to meet great people. Always help the visitors as it's their first time fishing. Great spot for a quiet date as well 😊

Great place to take a walk, view some fish and experience the only king salmon fishery in a metropolitan area! The recent upgrades to the boardwalk has really made this place so beautiful.

It's a sweet little spot on the Ship Creek trail. You can't fish at the spot but it's fun to hangout and watch the birds catch fish. Lots of fish downstream by Ship Creek and you're allowed to fish there. You can see tons of fish here during the season June - August. There's also a small parking area.
