An absolute gold standard in Friendly Local Game Stores. Always the same dude behind the counter, super friendly and knowledgeable about everything he sells. Good prices on paint, minis, and accessories. Google Maps kinda screws up directions getting here, so just walk around the block and you'll see the sign.

Comics section was VERY small but Holy wow the tabletop and MTG selection was the best I've ever seen! Perfectly organized with a friendly owner!

I finally got a chance to check out Shield, and it definitely doesn't disappoint. The owner is really nice and is very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend coming down and showing support.

This is one of the few shops around the state that has a good selection of Magic the Gathering cards as well as a nice selection of indie board/tabletop games and a lot of what you would need for your Warhammer kill team and horde. The group of people I have met here have always been friendly and welcoming to new players. Even if you've never heard of any of the games here there is always someone who will be willing to help out a newcomer.

I've been going to Shield for years back when it was in Meredith. The owner goes above and beyond to be friendly and helpful whether you're looking for Magic cards or a new board game. I always feel welcomed when I go and love the new, larger location.

The owner Jay is super awesome, super knowledgeable and a great host, he cares about the people who come to his shop and is very welcoming to new people, I couldn't recommend Shield Comics more if you are in the area. I have been going there for months now to play magic, Dnd or to just hang out and talk with the people that come in, I love the atmosphere and the feel inside. So again check it out if you are in the area you will not be dissatisfied!!!
